Community Highlights: Meet Mylira Green of M. Green Enterprises

Today we’d like to introduce you to Mylira Green.

Mylira Green

Hi Mylira, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I stumbled on this thing called entrepreneurship. In 2016, preparing for maternity leave, I told myself that I would no longer suffer the loss of my other two babies and function in gratitude for the life God blessed me with through my newborn daughter. During this same time, a co-worker was launching her life and career coaching program that I decided to jump into. Before completing the program, we were strongly encouraged to create a business to be legitimate coaches, and that is when M. Green Enterprises, LLC. was birthed.

In the beginning, this was only a hobby for me. I loved speaking, so I would speak for local events and programs to spread mental health awareness and how to thrive beyond trauma. During COVID, the speaking opportunities slowed down, and I decided to continue waiting for opportunities or create them. I connected with Coach Sid, and with his support and guidance, I finally birthed my coaching program called The Metamorphosis Healing Experience. I finally put the skills I learned in 2016 into practice while taking a break from constantly having to have all the answers as a therapist (my career path). This shift birthed the next chapter of my business, eventually encouraging me to leap into faith and become a full-time entrepreneur.

On my 29th birthday in April of 2022, I was faced with the decision to continue to build other people’s dreams while my desires were left unmet, or I would trust God and believe the vision He gave me. With no secured clients or money in my savings, I jumped and have yet to look back. Well, at least I wish I could say that. Many times, I have wanted to throw in the towel entirely. However, before I can make a permanent decision based on temporary emotions, God always sends an opportunity or words of encouragement to remind me that He has not left or forsaken me. Now, I can live out all my dreams and serve as a psychotherapist, life coach, reiki master, clinical supervisor, trainer, consultant, college professor or servant of God on any given day.

As my story unfolds, I am learning to become more business-minded and not just treat my dream like a side hustle. I am working with Business Consultant Jasmine Bright of Bright MC Services and Virtual Assistant Sheridan Meriwether of The Compassionate Connector to build a solid foundation to provide kingdom-focused services to work with leaders to heal the workplace and church. My story continues to be written, and I want you all to continue coming for the ride, for God is not done with me yet.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
This has not been a smooth road, but not for the reasons you think. My obstacles have all been internal. I did not see myself as capable of running a business, so I made a conscious decision not to learn the essential elements of a company I needed to know to be successful. I found myself just flowing with the opportunities that life gave me. Although this was not all bad, there were many moments I could have charged my worth or ensured contracts were in place where both parties benefited. Instead, I just showed up, leaving the other party satisfied but me struggling.

Now, I realize that my fear of gaining knowledge due to the unknown of what being a business owner meant hindered me from building a solid foundation that would have made my business scalable. Although I may not be as far as I could be, I believe I am right where I am supposed to be and have the right people now assisting me with building a solid foundation with the knowledge of what it takes to run a successful business.

We’ve been impressed with M. Green Enterprises, LLC., but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am a Certified Complex Trauma Professional functioning as a Licensed Clinical Social Work who serves as a psychotherapist, Confidence Coach, Master Healer, and Transformative Speaker. I strive to provide the world with preventative services to lower the rate of suicide worldwide.

I founded M. Green Enterprises, LLC, where I heal leaders to build a better workplace. My goal is to provide training and consultation to businesses looking to revive the lives of their employees by taking an interest in their holistic health.

I have also recently birthed The Metamorphosis Healing Experience, LLC. I work with individuals to become unstuck and motivated to reach their goals while owning their gifts confidently. I do this by providing person-centered services assisting people with thriving beyond the triggers that proceed post their life’s traumas.

As a social work alum of Norfolk State University and the University of Southern California, and a present student at Regent University’s Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership program and Virginia Bible College’s ICF coaching program, I bring nine years of experience assisting individuals addressing their mental and emotional health.

I have experience working in Foster Care, Community Direct Support, Corrections, Substance Abuse, Youth Experiencing Psychosis, Youth with Severe Depression Dealing with Suicidal Ideations, Women with Women’s Issues (i.e., infant loss and death and/or sexual abuse and assault), Couples having Marital Problems, and Military Personnel and their families who struggle with trauma-related issues. I am currently working on certifications for Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I am certified as a full clinician to conduct the Adolescent Community Reinforcement Approach and Community Reinforcement Approach for treating substance use disorders, Certified Anxiety Informed Practicition, and Certified Sex Informed Therapist. I am passionate about serving as the bridge between the caterpillar and the butterfly for all I serve. I obtained my license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Virginia on April 15, 2019, and completed my requirements to be an approved state board supervisor on April 23 and 24, 2021. I self-published two books entitled, “The Art of Just Being Me: An Interactive Guide to Finding the Courage to Just Be You” and “Free Thyself: A Guide of Healing for Survivors of Sexual Abuse and Assault”, and I participated in the Speak Out Survivor and Why My Mom Anthologies.

I am currently focused on providing consultation to start-up and growing mental health facilities to create a solid foundation resulting in a transformation in the lives of those they serve, coaching sessions to create a safe environment encouraging brilliant minds who struggle to fit in to reach their highest level of self-esteem, conducting healing sessions to help people of God become more focused while stepping into their purpose, engaging couples in in-depth conversations to gain the confidence needed to make it last forever, and facilitating training/keynote speeches on the role of trauma and mental health in our society to promote professionalism and the importance of self-care in our daily lives and the workplace.

I am most proud that my brand has made people feel like they can thrive beyond their trauma. I want my readers to know that they can always join my I’m Enough brand to lower the rate of suicide in their communities by shopping on my online store.

Who else deserves credit in your story?
At this time, my best friend, Sheridan Meriwether, has been my biggest supporter. I could not see that I could do this without her presence in this season. Every low, she has been encouraging me, and every high, she has been celebrating with me. She also noticed that I was drowning in this space alone, so she offered to assist me in my business so I didn’t have to carry this God-size purpose alone.

Secondly, I would like to thank my business consultant, Jasmine Bright. Jasmine has stepped in to help because she told God “yes” as it relates to me. Her ability to see where I am going and combine the pieces reaffirms that I am truly walking in my purpose; it’s just time for me to dream again.

I also would like to thank De’Geon Briggs for always being only a phone call away to help me in the areas I am not strong and never be afraid to invest in God’s purpose inside of me.

Last but certainly not least, my husband, Willie Green III, will forever be my biggest supporter. Without him, I could not live such a full life. He was the one who told me that full-time entrepreneurship was my destiny and believed in me, even when I didn’t. I am grateful for his love and support!!
