Today we’d like to introduce you to Miracle Sims.
Hi Miracle, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Absolutely! My journey is rooted in faith, creativity, and resilience. It began with a passion for acting, where I learned the art of storytelling and honed my skills. This passion expanded into entrepreneurship, leading to ventures like Miracle Plays LLC. Unwine Self Care, and LilFut.
A defining moment came with the creation of my book, “The Cultivation Period: A Single Christian’s Journey,” which is a reflection of my life and experiences navigating faith and relationships. This journey led to the creation of the “God, Sex, and Love” platform, where I engage in meaningful conversations on these vital aspects of life and more!
Through challenges and triumphs, I’ve embraced authenticity and encouraged others to do the same. Today, as an actress, author, and entrepreneur, I continue to explore new horizons, sharing insights, inspiring others, and celebrating diverse narratives within the Christian context and community.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, the road was anything but smooth. Like any journey, it’s been marked by challenges that shaped and strengthened me.
As an actress, I faced the competitive and unpredictable nature of the entertainment industry, let alone the judgments and being placed in invisible boxes based on the opinions of others. Entrepreneurship, while rewarding, comes with its share of uncertainties and learning curves, from partnerships going sour to dealing with a variety of unfortunate situations with previous landlords when attempting to launch a Miracle Plays venue here in the Atlanta area.
Writing “The Cultivation Period” and launching God, Sex, and Love (GSL) is deeply personal but also poses its challenges as sharing my experiences from when I was navigating singleness, and the daily testing of my faith requires vulnerability. Now balancing various roles — as a wife, mother, entrepreneur, and mentor — presents its own set of struggles.
Yet, each challenge has become a stepping stone, pushing me to grow, adapt, and find strength in faith. It’s these very challenges that have defined my journey and made me who I am, and the victories all the more meaningful.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’ve accepted that my journey is multifaceted. I specialize in bringing stories to life on stage and screen while exploring various other creative ventures.
What sets me apart is the seamless blend of my creative pursuits with a deep commitment to my faith. Recently, I created (as in wrote, directed, and starred in) a Victorian Steampunk Mystery experience called “Shadows of the Opera” for The Griffin Opera House! Crafting bespoke shows and experiences has evolved into becoming a cornerstone of my niche.
However, I’m particularly proud of my new role as the Elementary Coordinator at Mountain West Church, where I contribute to the spiritual growth of our community’s youngest members. This diverse blend of acting, entrepreneurship, and ministry is what defines my journey and sets it apart.
Alright, so to wrap up, is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
I want to express my deep gratitude to my husband, son, family, and friends who are the pillars of support in every endeavor. Their encouragement and unwavering belief in me, my visions, and my talents have been the driving force behind my journey.
The diverse facets of my work, from acting and entrepreneurship to ministry, are fueled by a passion for authenticity and faith. I invite readers to join me in these conversations, whether through my book, “The Cultivation Period,” “God, Sex, and Love”, or my various creative endeavors that aim to inspire, challenge, and celebrate the richness of life’s experiences.
