Exploring Life & Business with Adelia Johnson of I Am My Morning Coffee®

Today we’d like to introduce you to Adelia Johnson

Hi Adelia, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I started the Sister HypeSquad Experience in 2022 because I felt that if my mother had a community of women that looked out for her then she would have lived longer. I started the event out of the need for women to have a safe space to celebrate one another, but also a safe space to be encouraged in the midst of failures. We started with 50 women in 2022 an, had 100 women in 2023, and are projecting 200 women this year. This experience have grown by providing a genuine and safe community to build sisterhood.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has not been smooth, but it has been worth it. There are some people that don’t always understand the assignment you’re called to execute. Some struggles includeded people downplaying the work, some things I had to come out of pocket for, vendors didn’t meet their end of the bargain, and on the day of the event vendors fell through. Despite the challenges, I’m thankful to have such an amazing team that helped the event be a great success!

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I Am My Morning Coffee®, LLC. is used to inform, educate, and promote mental wellness and education through my Social Media, Events, and Live Broadcasts. The concept is that the same way that coffee pushes and perks someone to get the tasks in front of them done, is the same way we can pull that same energy from the inside of us. WE ARE OUR OWN MORNING COFFEE. We push ourselves, challenge ourselves, and wake up each day striving to be better than we were before while extending ourselves grace when we fall short. I am also a Licensed Therapist and specialize in the area of depression, anxiety, and trauma. I’m most proud of the community we have built through our work.

I want people to know that they can reach out for consultation as it pertains to personal growth, therapeutic services or the Sister HypeSquad Experience coming up in October 2024.

What does success mean to you?
Success to me is when you receive confirmation that your life has impacted others to be better.
