Meet Essence Ransome

Today we’d like to introduce you to Essence Ransome.

Every artist has a unique story. Can you briefly walk us through yours?
I was born in Toronto, but I came to Atlanta when I was fairly young. I was really focused on school and playing basketball, so I never really had the time to realize my creativity. I got into photography during my final week of high school and I haven’t stopped shooting since.

Please tell us about your art.
As a photographer, I like to find the beauty in everything/everyone and share my unique take on it.

We often hear from artists that being an artist can be lonely. Any advice for those looking to connect with other artists?
I’ve met a lot of other photographers/artists through social media. We would spend our time exploring, location scouting and collaborating on photoshoots. It’s been a fun way to learn new things while meeting people with the same passions as you.
