Story & Lesson Highlights with Keosha Parker of Atlanta/Thailand

Keosha Parker shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Good morning Keosha, it’s such a great way to kick off the day – I think our readers will love hearing your stories, experiences and about how you think about life and work. Let’s jump right in? What are you being called to do now, that you may have been afraid of before?
I feel called to step into alignment with the life I was always meant to live. For years, I played it safe out of fear — staying in jobs, relationships, and routines that kept me comfortable. But now, I’ve learned that comfort can be a cage. So I released that fear, moved overseas, and started creating freely. I’m called to inspire others by showing that when you walk in faith instead of fear, you unlock doors you didn’t even know were waiting for you.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is KP — I’m a 37-year-old entrepreneur, content creator, and consultant who recently made the leap from a federal government career to living abroad in Thailand. I run two brands (remotely), one based in Atlanta, that reflect different sides of my journey: GrindLife, an eco-friendly streetwear label inspired by hustle culture and legacy building, and Red Print Global, a consulting company that equips entrepreneurs with the tools and strategies to build businesses and even relocate abroad. I have a legacy commercial paint company, based only in Atlanta, specializing in commercial and residential paint work. Mostly under contracts at the moment.

What makes my story unique is the mix of courage and reinvention. I became an empty nester in my 30s, and instead of settling into a ‘safe’ path, I chose to rewrite my life on my own terms. Now I’m blending business, travel, and faith into a lifestyle that shows others what’s possible when you take risks and step into alignment with your purpose. Right now, I’m focused on expanding my consulting offers, relaunching GrindLife with fresh sustainable collections, and creating content that inspires people to chase freedom over fear.

Okay, so here’s a deep one: What part of you has served its purpose and must now be released?
The part of me that has served its purpose is the version of myself that felt obligated to play small and stay safe. For years, I carried the mindset that security mattered more than fulfillment — that a steady paycheck and stability were worth sacrificing my dreams. That mindset got me through an important season, but it no longer serves me. I’ve released the need to shrink myself for comfort and now embrace expansion, risk, and alignment. In this new chapter, I’m choosing faith over fear, purpose over survival.

If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
I would tell my younger self: you are not the box they tried to put you in. Being a teen mom doesn’t make you a statistic, it makes you strong. You don’t have to carry the weight of other people’s labels or your own insecurities. God’s plan for you is so much bigger than what you can see right now. Keep going, keep trusting Him, and know that every chapter — even the hard ones — is preparing you for the woman you were always meant to become.

I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
The belief I’m committed to — no matter how long it takes — is building a legacy that outlives me. Through my three companies, GrindLife, Red Print Global, and Parker Painting, I’m creating more than businesses; I’m creating a foundation for the next generation. My commitment is to break the social norms and stereotypes that tried to limit me as a young Black woman and teen mom, and instead show that with vision and faith, you can build something lasting.
I see myself as a vessel for Christ, using my platforms to spread the good news while also building practical pathways — whether it’s through fashion, consulting, or contracting — that open doors for others. For me, it’s not about speed, it’s about staying consistent until the work God placed in my hands is complete.

Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. If you laid down your name, role, and possessions—what would remain?
If I laid down my name, role, and possessions, what would remain is my heart, my soul, and my spirit. Leaving my government career, resigning from the 9–5, and even letting go of most of my possessions to move to Thailand taught me that none of those things truly define me. I live with less now — my condo is small, I don’t have the flashy car or the title anymore, no one here knows me, nor cares what I drive or how much LV I have on. — and I’ve found I don’t need them. Because at the end of the day, working just to die, or buying possessions was not building a legacy, and it was not feeding my spirit. What matters, what remains, is who I am in God and the love, faith, and alignment I carry with me. That’s the part of me no one can take away.
