Being a serial entrepreneur is something I always dreamed of, however, being that I don’t have any raw talents such as singing, acting, designing, drawing, etc… I never knew exactly what I would be doing as an entrepreneur. Entrepreneurship has always been in my blood, whether it be selling handmade beaded jewelry and snacks to my neighbors, earning extra cash to do my mother’s homework, babysitting the kids on the block, or selling my old electronics/apparel for money– hustling is something I was never a stranger to. As a child growing up I always had a passion for sports and fitness. It wasn’t until I settled in Atlanta that I seriously followed that passion and turned it into a career. I got into this industry to first and foremost help people. So many people suffer from or have passed away from chronic illnesses that could have been prevented with a healthier lifestyle. I wanted to do my part to help people life longer, healthier, and more fulfilling lives. After working for a corporate gym for some time I decided to become independent. It allowed me to really focus on why I chose this path in the first place, to help people, not charge them exorbitant prices to help a company make a profit. Becoming an independent trainer allowed me to do so. It is by far the most rewarding thing I have ever done, helping people transform their lives for the better! Read More>>

Well like most young girls I battled with finding my individuality and finding a beauty within myself, physically and emotionally. Growing up I wasn’t knowledgeable as to which route to take and what I interrupted as beauty. Society and people in general paint this cookie cutter image as to what beauty is and what we as women should all look like. The void in me to find my beauty and to appreciate all beauty continued to grow within me throughout the years. Read More>>

My great grandfather bought me my first camera as a young girl in the 80’s. I was so excited to start capturing the world from my view. Photography immediately became an obsession for me. The cost of becoming a professional photographer in the 90’s caused for me to head away from the profession, keeping it just a hobby. Read More>>

I started in photography because I had a job that required me to travel to different countries fairly often. Most of these trips required me to go alone, so I decided to get a small camera to document my travels and keep me entertained. I slowly started to learn more and started to crave the art while I was back at home. Because of this, I purchased a higher end DSLR and I started to take pictures of Atlanta. I met other street photographers and they challenged me to take photos of people. That snowballed into me taking a lot of pictures of people, then models, then fashion brands etc. Read More>>

I moved to Atlanta during the summer of 2005 after attending Columbus State University for two years to attend the Atlanta Institute of Music & Media (AIMM). There I studied various aspects of Music Performance (with a concentration in Drum/Percussion Performance). While there I began playing around town and networking and building relationships with any and everyone that I could. One gig lead to another and one connection lead to another! I eventually ended up doing some recording sessions with a producer named Kevin ”Khao” Cates that ended up turning into records for T.I., Nelly, DJ Drama, Pharrell Williams & The Clipse for various projects released on Atlantic Records… From there, my name started getting passed around the ‘session circuit’ of Atlanta. The more sessions I sat in the more I became interested in production, so I began reaching out to connections that I made from touring/recording/networking as a drummer to submit music! It was and still is definitely a grind but relationship building has been a KEY component of my journey thus far! Read More>>

Deep down inside when you really love what you do you know its a passion. I started with my son by having my friend Gary take pictures of him for Modeling and Acting and kind of being behind the scenes and directing. I then started borrowing a camera and taking pictures of my friends and family whenever they asked. Then one day my friends convinced me to truly live out my passion and fulfill my dreams. So for Christmas, my boyfriend got me a camera and from there it was full force. I realized that it the people around me can believe in me then I’ve got to believe in myself. There is always that’s fear of failing and people not supporting you, but one thing I learned is that people will be for you and against you, but you never give up. Read More>>

Modeling started for me at a young age. I started off doing runway at about six years old, in local shows while I was living in New Jersey with my father. I continued to model throughout the years but really became serious about it during my junior year of high school. From then on, I decided to drop runway shows and stick strictly to print modeling. I have modeled for indie brands like “Currency Crew” and “Noir Lune”based in Atlanta and I’m looking to model for more brands in the future. For the past three years, I have put modeling on the back burner and really began to focus on my real passion which is makeup. Read More>>

I’ve been nomadic when it comes to a specific role and select industry. As you may know, before all of this, I started off as a likely 2012 Olympic hopeful recruit for the Track & Field program at TCU, only to forfeit my eligibility and sign my first professional contract mid-season later in the year as pro-sprinter for NIKE in 2011… Read More>>

Art has been in my life for as long as I could remember. Growing up, I always admired my older cousins that were both athletic and artistic, and naturally I just wanted to do everything like them. My curiosity for photography began arising while watching my cousin make mini movies, featuring my twin sister and I. Read More>>

Beauty has always been a part of my life. I’m your typical girlie girl from San Diego. I enjoy shorts, a tank, and some flip flops. But plain doesn’t mean not beautiful. Nails, brows, lashes, and skincare is a must. These are essentials that make any woman look and feel good regardless of age. So I started my salon so that we busy women didn’t need to run around from salon to salon in an effort to make our beauty appointments. At Beauty Concierge, you can have your nails manicured, brows perfected, and makeup done professionally all in the same place while having great conversations over a glass of wine. In what we’ve become to know as traditional nail salons there is often a language barrier and time clock ticking as soon as you sit down. Read More>>

Originally from Queens, NY, I relocated to Atlanta with my family in 2005. My main sources of inspiration comes from my family. I come from a very creative and artistic family on both sides. They have always encouraged me to be innovative, self-motivated, confident, and humble. Their support and guidance helped me realize what I wanted to accomplish in life; as a model, artist, and entrepreneur. Growing up watching Tyra Banks show, “America’s next top model” has also been a inspiration in my life. Tyra has taught me simple but important skills to Modeling that Is still used today like, how to pose, to always pose with tension (stretched tight from H2T – head to toe), elongate my neck, and to Smize. In the summer of 2003, I was at a crossroads in my life. I had recently ended an abusive marriage, the stress of which had caused me to overeat and gain over 100 pounds. I knew I was ready for a fresh start – physically, emotionally, and spiritually. I started a new diet and also enrolled in meditation and psychic development classes. I knew something had to change in my life and I was seeking answers for whatever it was that would keep me out of the place I found myself in. I did not have all the answers, but as a natural intuitive, I always had a connection with the divine that would lead me on the right path. I was very involved in prayer, meditation, changing my thoughts, you name it, and I was willing to at least read about it. Read More>>

Born and raised in Athens, Ga. I have been dancing since I was eight years old. Which started to be an outlet for all the trials & tribulations I was forced to go through as a child. Dance turned into a way out for me. Away from all the chaos that was happening at that time. At the age of 13, I founded the 2 Cute Step / Dance team at my high school along with my best friend Mike Lee. We didn’t know it was going to turn into a trendy topic to where all the middle school in Clarke County started a step / dance team. Read More>>

I started like most artists, drawing and painting as a kid. Trains and automobiles, even structures, carried the most fascination for me. I was always building with my hands. My dad was/is a machinist, so I spent a lot of time in his shop, even from a young age. From this, I learned the value of attention to detail, and quite a bit from my dad, though I wouldn’t realize how much until much later in my career. After graduating high school at 16, my intent was to pursue a Mechanical Engineering degree, but after an art class in my final semester, and a second visit to the college, I switched to Graphic Design. When I arrived at school, I realized I’d been a “designer” my entire life! A good bit happened in those years, but that’s best told in person. I graduated, married and interned at an agency in Atlanta, but wasn’t able to stay on. Read More>>

I began doing makeup around 2008 when I started college. Being a science major — there wasn’t much room to express myself freely, therefore, makeup became my creative outlet. As a broke college student with a full course load, it became my only way of making money to survive. To my advantage, most of the girls were straight out of high school so they had never really worn makeup. Therefore when the weekend came around — I was in high demand and practicing on them gave me the experience that I needed to get on my feet. About two years later I had the opportunity to open a makeup bar — so I hopped on it! There I was able to meet photographers and jewelry makers which in return open doors for collaborations on photoshoots and fashion shows. One of the main turning points of my career came when I meet Emmy Award winning makeup artist Nyssa Green. Read More>>

I have always loved the Arts. It started with film. As a child, I would recite every single line of my favorite movies and started acting around the age of 10. Then as I got older, my love for music began to blossom. I can’t live without it. Read More>>

Career began in healthcare, with a Masters Degree in Health Service Administration; however, always had a passion to own my own business. I have always had a passion for drawing, Comic books, video games and Art since I was a child. Cartoons and Anime were always my favorite growing up. The amount of details and imagination that goes with it, was amazing to me. I especially love movies with Special Effects makeup. Im the type that always looks up the behind the scene footage online and on DVDs. I still feel the 80’s had the best things when it came to makeup and Special effects because everything was washed away with CGI like it is now. I feel that takes away from the artist work. And its truly some great artist right now. Jim Henson was just awesome. I loved everything he did. He had such an imagination. My favorite movie ever was Labyrinth. I love Fantasy art and movies. But, I could go on about that. Read More>>
