Rising Stars: Meet Amy Rodriguez of Alpharetta

Today we’d like to introduce you to Amy Rodriguez.

Hi Amy, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Orlando, Florida is where my story began — born and raised under the sun and soaked in creativity from an early age. A decade ago, I made Atlanta home, and ever since, I’ve been deeply rooted in its vibrant creative and music communities. Whether I’m behind the scenes on set with music artists, pastors, or editorial shoots doing hair and makeup, anchoring the energy in green rooms, sitting in a studio writing or doing background vocals, or leading the charge at a multi-location music school, one thing remains constant: my passion for building strong, inspired communities that thrive together. I believe in the power of music as a universal language — it reaches places only melodies can, bridging hearts, cultures, and generations. Anyone who knows me personally knows my heart beats for unity — for cultivating creative spaces that flourish with collaboration, raw authenticity, and a true sense of home.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Finding your purpose isn’t always a straight path — it’s often paved with detours, challenges, and moments of being misunderstood. But through it all, I’ve stayed grounded in an unshakeable faith: what’s meant for me will never miss me.

I believe in hard work and discipline. I believe in pursuing what sets your soul on fire. We’re all wired differently, and that’s the beauty of it — the space that’s meant for you is yours alone. But don’t wait for it to arrive. Keep pursuing. Keep showing up. Never silence the hunger for the life you’re called to live.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
By day, I serve as the General Manager of North Fulton School of Music — a dynamic, multi-location music school for all ages. I oversee day-to-day operations, plan engaging music events, build strong ties with our local community, and bring to life a vision for a school that does more than just teach music — it helps students discover the gift within. From writing run-of-shows to opening doors for creative expression with summer camps or workshops, I’m passionate about creating spaces where talent is nurtured and potential is unlocked.

Outside the school, I wear another creative hat — I’ve been a professional hair and makeup artist for 15 years. My work has taken me behind the scenes of nonprofit events, fashion shows, editorial shoots, music gatherings, and worship experiences. Whether I’m lending a steady hand in the green room or offering a creative eye on set, I thrive in roles that blend artistry, execution, and heart.

What sets me apart is my adaptability — the ability to pivot with grace in any situation. I believe I was created to see solutions rather than challenges, and to be the peace in any room I get the opportunity to be in. That mindset shapes everything I do — from managing teams to supporting artists, and building creative communities that truly flourish.

Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
