We recently had the chance to connect with Pasqualé Domain and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Pasqualé, thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to share your story, experiences and insights with our readers. Let’s jump right in with an interesting one: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
When I first wake up I make sure to thank God for another day tone progressive; once the prayer concludes nature calls. I then do home workout routine to maintain shape. The workout consists of pushups, inverted crunches, and a series of leg raises followed by hydration.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Darius Washington, but I go by my creative alias Pasqualé Domain. The name was derived from a nickname given to me by my late grandmother on my father’s side. I model, act, rap, and write music. I’ve been stationed in Atlanta Georgia for a tad over five years now, and since the transition here from my home state of Louisiana I have been able to work with multiple film projects, different clothing brands, and magazine publications in the area.
Okay, so here’s a deep one: What did you believe about yourself as a child that you no longer believe?
As a child I had the belief that being a priority was to evade me, when it came to others; since then I’ve disproven this theory through self reassurance, prayer, and acceptance.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
During my first few months living in Atlanta I came under hard times from a financial standpoint. Due to this being my first endeavor out of the state alone, I felt that I may need to return home and reassess. I sat up in bed and weighed my options, between sticking it out or going back home to live with my folks. When that fork in the road dawned on me the choice became crystal clear.
Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. What are the biggest lies your industry tells itself?
I would have to say one of the biggest lies within my industry is the ideation, of there being an evolution within itself to be more inclusive and open.
Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. If you knew you had 10 years left, what would you stop doing immediately?
I would immediately stop being so hard on myself, and so compulsive. I would appreciate and be more present.
