We recently had the chance to connect with Sam Stowell and have shared our conversation below.
Good morning Sam, we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
Mornings set the tone for the rest of my day! I wake up at 5:45am, make fresh coffee (fresh coffee grounds over Keurig any day), and take 15-20 minutes to look over the news etc. Then I’m off to the gym by 6:15am and make sure to get at least an hour workout in. On rest days, I love walking through my neighborhood in Midtown.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
PLN is a health-focused meal prep company focusing on macro-dense, protein backed meals. We love the brand and decided to bring it to Atlanta after seeing a desperate need in the market.
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
As a kid, I was constantly dreaming. Every few weeks, I’d obsess over some idea and tell everyone who would listen. Ranging from wanting to be the first kid to live on the moon, living in an RV and driving around North & South America, or buying a tropical island for a retirement community, nothing seemed too big. While the world reigns you in and sets boundaries, but more importantly expectations, I never stop dreaming and like to think of this foundation as my continual basis as to my ‘why’.
What did suffering teach you that success never could?
That everything is temporary, the sun will always shine, and this too shall pass!
Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. Where are smart people getting it totally wrong today?
Chasing after the money not after the freedom.
Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. What will you regret not doing?
Spending more time with my family and seeing as much of the world as possible.
