Today we’d like to introduce you to Tranea & Benni Manning.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I started this company off one year ago as another source of income to hold me over during the offseason of my tax company. It wasn’t a passion at first just a source of income. I had very little knowledge of the fashion industry.
I made a major investment with my consultant and then this hustle turned quickly into a passionate dream, that was definitely fulfilled. Before I decided to open this store I had not been on an airplane since the 911 tragedy.
But I had to go out of the country to find good clothing vendors. So my first flight after 16 years was a 21-hour flight to Guangzhou. After 1 year of opening, I expanded my store with a better location in Norcross.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I struggled personally because friends and family really don’t support like I thought they would. So I had to depend on social media because my first location wasn’t really visible. However, I was able to keep my store open by stomping the social media pavement every day.
Please tell us about Next Level Fashion Boutique.
Next Level Fashion is an upscale clothing store that specializes in unique affordable clothing that will definitely ask you feel like a million bucks. We are a one-stop shop sorta like a Department Store. We not only sell clothing but we also have our own makeup line and we do makeup services along with hair extension application.
You can also purchase our hair extensions online. I am most proud that my store consist of my husband and myself and my daughter is the store manager. The thing that sets our store from others is the high quality of our clothes for such a reasonable price.
Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
My favorite childhood memory is running on the track team in high school.
