Hi Laquana, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My journey began at 29, after a divorce, bankruptcy, and a period of deep personal reckoning. What looked like failure became the foundation for transformation. I was forced to rebuild my life from the inside out—healing old patterns while learning how to create real stability through strategy, structure, and aligned decision-making.

Over time, that rebuilding led me into real estate consulting and professional project management, where I learned how systems, assets, and planning can create freedom—not burnout. That work eventually evolved into The Feminine Boss Company, a platform dedicated to helping women navigate personal and lifestyle transitions with intention, power, and clarity.

Today, my work focuses on guiding women to reclaim their peace, redefine success, and design lives that support who they are becoming—not who they were taught to be.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
My journey was far from smooth. It required confronting patterns I had normalized for years: overworking, over giving, and tying my worth to productivity and survival. I had to navigate emotional healing alongside very real financial pressure, career uncertainty, and the loneliness that comes with choosing a different path than what’s familiar.

There were moments of doubt, burnout, and starting over more than once. But those challenges forced me to develop discipline, self-trust, and a deeper understanding of alignment. What once felt like setbacks ultimately became the lessons that shaped the woman—and the work—I stand in today.

My work sits at the intersection of lifestyle transformation, real estate strategy, and feminine self-leadership. I’m a real estate consultant, professional project manager, and the founder of The Feminine Boss Company, where I help women transition out of survival mode and into lives designed with intention, stability, and freedom.

I specialize in guiding women through major life transitions—career shifts, divorce, relocation, and financial rebuilding—by helping them create structure, ownership, and clarity from the inside out. I’m known for blending practical strategy with self-mastery: teaching women how to position themselves financially and professionally without burning out or abandoning who they are.

What I’m most proud of is building a body of work rooted in lived experience. I didn’t study this from the sidelines—I rebuilt my life in real time. That credibility, paired with a grounded, no-nonsense approach to growth, is what sets me apart. I don’t sell hustle or fantasy. I teach alignment, ownership, and sustainable power.

Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out?
My advice is this: start where you are but be honest about where you’re standing. Growth doesn’t require perfection—it requires self-awareness and consistency. Too many people wait until they feel “ready,” when readiness is built by taking aligned action, not by overthinking it.

I wish I had known earlier that discipline creates freedom, not restriction. Structure, boundaries, and clarity would have saved me years of unnecessary struggle. I also wish I understood sooner that asking for help is not a weakness—it’s a strategy. You don’t have to do everything alone to prove your worth.

Finally, invest in yourself early—your mindset, your skills, and your financial literacy. Trends change, titles change, but self-mastery compounds. If you build from the inside out, everything you create on the outside will last.
