Today we’d like to introduce you to C. David Moody, Jr.

I went to Morehouse College and graduated in 1978 and then graduated from Howard University in 1981 with a 5-year professional degree in architecture. I started My career at Bechtel power as a staff architect. I took a field assignment on a nuclear power plant construction site and fell in love with construction. I decided then, instead of architecture, I would become a builder. Then in 1988, we started C D Moody construction company.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the C D Moody Construction Company, Inc story. Tell us more about the business.
We a commercial general contractor, that specializes in higher education, stadiums, parking decks and other office buildings. I am most proud of still being in business after 30 years, having my adult kids in the business and providing jobs for people. We believe what sets us apart is making the building process enjoyable.
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
Everything depends on how the new tariffs affect pricing and if a recessions hits. Everything should stay busy for quite a while.
