Hi Candace, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Polished Professional Branding was built at the intersection of strategy, identity, and excellence… and it was born from a pattern I kept seeing throughout my career.

My background is in clinical marketing and sales, where I’ve spent years operating at the executive level: crafting high-stakes communications, advising organizations on positioning, and understanding how credibility is built and perceived in competitive environments.

That lens gave me a distinct perspective on personal branding. The most accomplished professionals, executives, leaders, high achievers, were often showing up inconsistently with the caliber of work they were actually doing. Their expertise was undeniable. Their presence wasn’t always telling that story.

Polished exists to close that gap.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Building Polished Professional Branding while holding a full-time corporate role has meant that nearly every challenge has been a resource challenge… time, bandwidth, and the discipline to protect both.

The early tension wasn’t doubt; it was capacity. Learning to build a business with excellence, without sacrificing the standards that define the brand, required a level of operational intentionality that most people don’t see from the outside. Systems had to be built from scratch.

Every client experience, every piece of content, every advisor relationship had to be constructed thoughtfully and deliberately, often in the margins of an already full schedule.

There was also the challenge of market positioning. Personal branding is a crowded space; and carving out a lane that speaks specifically to high achievers, executives, and professionals in transition required clarity and conviction. It would have been easy to cast a wide net.

Staying focused on who Polished is truly built to serve has been both the harder and the more rewarding choice.

One of the most important decisions made early was being intentional about who we align with.
