Today we’d like to introduce you to Shaunique Jones.
Hi Shaunique, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Ever since I was young, creativity and self-expression have always come naturally to me. I remember being about six years old, sitting in my room with my dolls: not really focused on making up stories or doing their hair, but changing their outfits over and over to see what looked best together. Even then, I was drawn to fashion as a form of creativity and expression.
That passion continued to grow during my freshman year of college, when I started experimenting with menswear and adding my own feminine twist to it. My style became pretty recognizable on campus, and as people began complimenting me more, I started to realize how powerful style could be in shaping confidence and identity. Not long after, I was offered the opportunity to help style a fashion show, and that experience really sparked my interest in personal styling.
After graduating with a B.S. in Psychology, I relocated to Atlanta knowing I wanted to combine my love for psychology, people, and fashion in a meaningful way. What I once saw as just a hobby quickly became something much bigger after one conversation helped me realize there was real purpose behind it. That vision became Shaunique Jones Styling Co. :built around the idea of “Styling from the inside out.”
For me, styling is about more than clothes. It’s about helping people feel confident, authentic, and fully themselves.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
“A smooth road?” Absolutely not. I think people assume that going into business for yourself is the end-all, be-all, but the reality is there will be tests and trials; especially as a business owner in a creative field that involves people.
You have to understand the ebbs and flows of business so you don’t become discouraged when things feel inconsistent. One of the biggest struggles I’ve faced has been inconsistency in clientele, and at times becoming so locked into a client’s vision that it can stifle your own creativity and growth beyond their immediate needs.
The way I’ve learned to navigate those struggles is by asking God to help me see the lessons in every season I experience, and trusting Him enough to keep going. Over time, I’ve learned that the journey continues to unfold into everything you envisioned for it; even if it doesn’t happen the way you originally expected.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m a creative, stylist, educator, and visionary who specializes in fashion styling, creative direction, and bringing stories to life through visuals. A lot of my work lives at the intersection of fashion, artistry, and emotion. I love creating looks and experiences that feel elevated, intentional, and deeply personal to the people involved.
I’m known for taking pieces, concepts, or even people’s ideas and transforming them into something that feels fresh, editorial, and expressive while still maintaining authenticity. Whether it’s styling, directing a concept, or helping shape a visual narrative, I approach everything with both creativity and heart.
My background in teaching plays a huge role in the way I style and work with clients. I naturally guide people through the creative process in a way that makes them feel comfortable, seen, and confident. I enjoy helping people understand the “why” behind fashion, styling, and presentation; not just putting clothes on them. I think that ability to educate, communicate, and connect allows me to pull something deeper out of the people and projects I work with.
What I’m most proud of is my ability to keep evolving creatively while remaining grounded in purpose and integrity. I’ve built my work through faith, resilience, and genuine connection with people. I’m also proud that my work doesn’t just focus on aesthetics; it makes people feel seen, confident, and inspired.
What sets me apart is my perspective. I don’t just create looks; I create feeling, story, and atmosphere. My background in ministry, leadership, and education influences the way I work with people; I lead with discernment, intention, and care. I think people resonate with the fact that my creativity feels both bold and soulful at the same time.
Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
People can work with me through styling, creative direction, collaborations, and creative projects involving fashion and visual storytelling. I’m always open to connecting with brands, artists, photographers, and other creatives who align with intentional and impactful work.
You can support me by sharing my work, referring clients, collaborating on projects, and engaging with my content and creative journey. Referrals and genuine community support truly mean a lot as an independent creative.
