Life & Work with LunaverSol of Atlanta

Today we’d like to introduce you to LunaverSol.

Hi LunaverSol, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I started everything in Kentucky — my way of life, my appreciation for it, my musical foundation, and so on. Being from south east Kentucky, I was raised playing bluegrass instruments and going to pickin’s every weekend — gatherings where people bring food and instruments to someone’s house, eat, and play music all night. My dad had a gospel band that my sister and I would sing in, which got me comfortable performing in front of people early on.

As time went on, I started traveling — sometimes across the state, sometimes across oceans — and naturally, my taste in music began to evolve. As new sounds continue to find me (and I find them), what I create evolves as well. I’m still learning, still growing.

I never really thought I’d become a musician growing up in my hometown, until I was a student at the University of Louisville. My friends there had already built names for themselves in the local music scene and even started breaking into the industry. Seeing people my age succeed right in front of me gave me the self-efficacy to pursue music as a career.

From there, I lived in Louisville for a while before finding myself in Stone Mountain, and now, happily, in Atlanta. Here, I’ve been connecting with incredibly talented artists, performing, attending networking events, releasing personal projects, and gaining more experience as an audio engineer. Overall, the journey’s been going well — and, Creator willing, I’ll keep putting in the work to make it even more beautiful.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
There are always new challenges that arise when moving through personally uncharted territory. For me — and I’m sure many traditional creatives can relate — one of the biggest challenges is social media. I enjoy celebrating great shows and memorable experiences with people, supporting my friends and fellow artists, and showing appreciation to those who have given me opportunities. However, I struggle with curating posts, understanding algorithms, and maintaining consistency.

My solution has been to ask friends for feedback and use them as a soundboard, especially from a business and marketing perspective. I’ve also considered hiring a close friend who enjoys video editing to handle that side of things for me.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m a musical artist first and foremost — a vocalist, instrumentalist (guitar and bass, fiddle, piano), lyricist, composer, and both a performing and recording artist. Lately, I’ve really been enjoying the experience of audio engineering; it’s been a groovy and rewarding creative expansion for me.

One of the things I love most is connecting with people, and recording other artists has become a meaningful way for me to do that. It feels like getting to experience the inner worlds of others as they channel creativity in different ways — whether through everyday life experiences or through intentionally stepping aside and allowing something deeper and divine within themselves to guide the lyrics they write and the music they compose.

I’ve also been learning a lot about mixing lately, which has been incredibly useful and fulfilling in my own creative process. Above all, I’m most proud of my ability to teach myself and pursue knowledge with determination whenever something genuinely inspires me.

Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
I would say that moving to a new place was a major risk, but honestly, it never felt scary to me — I was excited to make that change. I don’t view many things as true risks unless they contradict my morals or values.

To me, achieving my goals comes down to commitment and persistence. Whatever needs to be done to reach them feels achievable; I simply have to keep putting action behind the vision until it becomes reality.
