Rising Stars: Meet Alexis Farley of West Georgia

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alexis Farley.

Hi Alexis, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I started photography back in high school after taking a film class that really sparked my interest in cameras and storytelling. After I graduated, my dad gifted me my first camera, and I immediately started practicing—taking photos of friends, random moments, and anything I could to build my skills. I was also learning a lot on my own through YouTube and hands-on experience.

What started as something fun quickly turned into something serious. I began taking clients at little to no cost just to build my portfolio, and over time I developed my style, confidence, and understanding of lighting, posing, and editing.

In 2020, I made the decision to go full-time with my business, Devine Studios Photography. Since then, I’ve worked with a wide range of clients—from branding sessions to weddings—and really focused on creating a high-quality, professional experience. I’m big on making people feel comfortable in front of the camera while also delivering images that feel polished, intentional, and creative.

Today, I’m continuing to grow my brand, elevate my work, and expand into more luxury-style photography, especially in weddings and branding. My goal has always been bigger than just taking pictures, I want to create experiences and visuals that people are proud of and can look back on for years.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It hasn’t been a smooth road. Early on, I had to teach myself everything—from shooting and editing to pricing and running a business—which came with a lot of trial and error.

I’ve also faced challenges with inconsistent income, underpricing my work, and learning how to set boundaries with clients. Balancing personal life while growing my business hasn’t always been easy either.

But every challenge helped me grow, become more confident in my value, and build a stronger, more intentional business.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m a photographer and the owner of Devine Studios Photography, specializing in milestone photography including birthdays, graduations, weddings, and engagements.

I’m most proud of the brand I’ve built and the uniqueness behind my work. I’m especially known for my creative set designing and my ability to turn simple ideas into impactful, visually strong concepts through DIY projects and attention to detail.

What sets me apart is my professionalism, my energy on set, and the level of care I put into every shoot and client. I focus on creating an experience where clients feel confident, comfortable, and excited, while delivering high-quality, intentional images. That’s why its called “The Devine Experience.”
