Check Out Keri Lindekugel’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Keri Lindekugel.

Hi Keri, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started my photography business in December of 2023. After getting engaged myself and having my own engagement session my wedding photographer Kelsie was the one to actually get me into it. I second shot and mentored with a few other photographers and then started booking my own weddings. I worked in biotech at the time and wanted a more creative outlet as well. Throughout 2024 my business really just kicked off and I was gaining traction a lot faster than I anticipated. I went full time March of 2025 and had around 27 weddings that year. Now I have been doing it full time for over a year now and I absolutely love it. I get to work with so many amazing couples as well as other wedding vendors. I meet amazing people and I get to help memorialize special memories for each couple which they will look back on for the rest of their lives.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It was a crazy trajectory for me. The business blew up a lot faster than I was anticipating so it was a bit of a struggle to keep balancing everything with my 9-5 job. I was working crazy long hours editing and working on my business after 5pm when I got home as well as shooting weddings on the weekend. That ultimately lead me to make the decision to quit my 9-5 and work on my business full time. That was the biggest transition. I went from being overly worked to having to dedicate all my time and energy into just my business. It took some getting used to not going into the office everyday and having a stable reliable job. Wedding photography is great cause I can work from home and be with my pups and have way more flexibility but it is also more up and down and less reliable than a 9-5. It took some time to get into the groove of working for myself full time and planning my life and financials around that instead of a bimonthly paycheck.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a wedding and couples photographer. I am based in Atlanta but I travel all over the world to photograph weddings. I will go wherever your love takes me. I have shot in Positano, Tulum, the Dominican Republic and will be going to Jamaica in June. I love to travel and being able to travel for work and experience all of these gorgeous weddings and amazing people is a huge perk of the job. My photography style is candid, timeless, and true to life. I like to capture their wedding day as it unfolds and keep the authenticity of the day in all of the photos. I love working hand in hand with my couple and their planner. I try to be way more than just a photographer for their special day. All my couples know they can contact me about anything and that I help out in many more ways then just taking photos on the wedding day. I love adding each couple to my Keri Lindekugel Photography family and it makes me smile seeing them grow and being a part of every stage of their life moving forward as I have many clients that will reach back out for family photos in the future.
