Arielle Page of Augusta, GA on Life, Lessons & Legacy

We recently had the chance to connect with Arielle Page and have shared our conversation below.

Arielle, so good to connect and we’re excited to share your story and insights with our audience. There’s a ton to learn from your story, but let’s start with a warm up before we get into the heart of the interview. What is a normal day like for you right now?
I typically start my day with a healthy breakfast. I think it’s important to take care of yourself before you can take care of your business. I then run last minute errands before heading into the bakery. This may include bank runs, grocery runs or miscellaneous store runs. I then go into work to check on staff and do admin work.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Arielle Page a professionally trained pastry chef with a knack for all things plated desserts. I am the owner of Arie’s Artisan Cheesecake, a small batch cheesecake bakery located in Evans, GA. I offer over a dozen mini cheesecakes with rotating seasonal flavors. What makes us unique is that instead of offering the traditional cheesecake slice, we offer minis. This gives the customer to customize their own cheesecake gift box. I also offer vegan and gluten-free options as well.

I’m currently on the hunt for a second location. We have outgrown our current space and expansion would be a great way to provide cheesecakes to other parts of town without the strain of working out of a small kitchen at the current location.

Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
The pandemic. It’s also the time when I knew I wanted to shift my focus on working for others to creating my own, unique bakery. Taking that year off made me realize that there was more to life than just working everyday. I was able to focus on hobbies and interests which I didn’t have the time to do when working in the restaurant industry.

If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
Keep going! You’re on the right track.

Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. Is the public version of you the real you?
Of course! What you see is what you get.

Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. What are you doing today that won’t pay off for 7–10 years?
Eating my favorite Blue Bell Ice Cream.
