Today we’d like to introduce you to Ajiana Dailey.

Ajiana, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I’m 21-year-old entrepreneur and social media influencer Ajiana Dailey also known as JianaDai. My parents Tricia and Rufus Watkins, have always pushed me to go above and beyond in school and in life, which led me to have an extreme focus on whatever task is in front of me. I’m always trying to out do myself. Starting a business was not easy and honestly, I’ve had this plan to start my business for about two years before actually executing. I’m a student-athlete so being a student, working, and the cheerleading captain at Clark Atlanta Univesity always kept me business. I truly never had time to sit and plan how I wanted to start my first business because school, work, and cheerleading were my Top 3 priorities.

This year with COVID happening, put everything and everyone on lockdown. This gave us all a break from society and life during this time, I think we all got a chance to just sit and think, think about what’s our next move, think about ways to make money during the pandemic, just thinking how we’re going to be successful. Well, during lockdown, my thinking became top tier, I created two businesses JianaDai Swim and JianaDai Skin. Both businesses were created for my potential customers to be comfortable and feel sexy in their own skin by serving swimwear looks in all sizes and encouraging healthy skin with all organic skincare products. My first JianaDai Swim collection, “The Blue Print,” was nothing less than successful, I sold out of the entire collection. The BluePrint collection let the world know, this is just the blue print, a blue print is the beginning of a masterpiece. JianaDai is my Masterpiece that I will keep perfecting.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has not been a smooth road, the biggest advice as a young entrepreneur is to stay consistent. It’s so easy to just get caught up with life that we are not consistent with our dreams… STAY CONSISTENT!

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a natural leader, if you know me, anything and everything I do has been planned before it’s done. My strong leadership skills has landed me as the coach at Buckhead Gymnastics and cheer. A leader is someone who encourages, guides and motivates. A leader understands even in those times where we really don’t want to understand. Being a cheerleading coach has improved my leadership skills, I’ve learned to be patient. Coaching girls from ages 5-16, you are dealing with multiple personalities and it is important that as a coach, I learn them all so that I know how to treat and cater to each athlete. I encourage my athletes to always have fun doing what you love, so as a coach, I reward them by making some of their favorite TikToks with them.They love it and honestly, I do too. These children bring sunshine to my life, even on cloudy days.
