Check Out Emanui Dubois’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Emanui Dubois.

Hi emanui, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I grew up on the far south side of Chicago
Illinois, growing up in Chicago is what made me who I am today. I started off as a little
Girl with big dream dancing around the house being full of life and adventures. Dance is my house was a staple. It was how our family got together and spread love and joy. If you were happy or having a bad day, when music came on nothing but joy and happiness filled the room. I took dance and modeling more serious for myself by my freshman year of college. I joined a modeling team and that showed me all about becoming a woman. Dancing around the neighborhood and dancing for my community is what I knew but when I got on stage around other’s who didn’t know my name I had to make them remember me. From then on I just kept going dancing background for artist both underground mainstream. Sitting across from people I only thought existed on tv, Having women come to me and tell me how I boost them made me realize I can do whatever it is I set my mind to. Dance made me stronger, wiser and better than ever. When everyone else left me behind dance didn’t.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I’ve faced homelessness. Depending on others when I’ve had nothing. Family turning their backs on me. Working minimum wage jobs just to fund my dreams because people would laugh and tell me to get back in school and get a real career but my talents would not let me. And I know I’m talented by the way people light up when they see me. So nothing great comes easy and that’s what a lot of people are not prepared For.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Hi my name is Emanui Ja’Na I am an choreographer/ Dancer
Fitness/Swim model and influencer
Mixologist
I specialize in bringing confidence back in women. I love making women feel great again because who else is going to pour into us if we don’t pour into ourselves. I work with underground artists and teach private dance classes. I am a 2x published model. I am a fitness influencer. I’m proud of never giving up on myself and the word NO doesn’t scare me. I love that others can see my creativity and it makes them feel better about themselves. I don’t just put myself in one box I’m very diverse in everything that I do. I never stop being a student no matter what milestone I hit in my lifetime.

Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
Nature makes me happy. I love to be alone, I’m a water child so I love being free. Nature makes me feel at peace whether I’m taking a hike or sitting by the waterfalls it just always being me back to my why.
