Today we’d like to introduce you to Kalothe1.

Kalothe1, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My story started almost ten years ago, right outside my garage while I was taking out the trash. I got a call from Barbizon Modeling and Acting School saying a friend had referred me. At first, I thought it was a scam but, something about it felt real, so I told my parents and encouraged me to go for it!

When I showed up to the audition, everything changed. They loved my voice, my look, just me as a whole. Out of over a thousand people, I was selected. I started classes in August 2018 and continued into early 2019. At the time, I’ll be honest, some of those classes felt boring. But looking back, they played a huge role in shaping who I am today.

In April, I went to my first audition for a fashion show and I got in. The very next month, I walked the runway for Walk Fashion Show. That moment changed everything for me. Once I stepped off the runway, I felt unstoppable, like I could do anything.

Not long after that, I landed my first time on set for a TV show on BET and from that point on, it was up.

Since then, I’ve worked on projects with Nickelodeon, Paramount+, Netflix, and Hulu. I’ve also appeared in videos with artists like Metro Boomin, 21 Savage, Lil Durk, and Rod Wave along with countless others. Each opportunity built on the last, pushing me further into the space I always knew I belonged in.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Honestly, it hasn’t been a smooth road. When I first started, I wasn’t the typical model. I didn’t have “the look” yet, and I didn’t fully know what I was doing. A lot of people didn’t believe in me, especially peers at school. And that was just the beginning.

Over time, life hit in different ways. The pandemic slowed everything down. Personal challenges, mental health struggles, there were moments that could’ve made me quit.

But one thing about me is that every time I get knocked down, I get back up!

So to anyone reading this, keep going. No matter what it looks like right now, no matter who doubts you, no matter how many times you fall… you have to push through & get back up.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Overall, I’m a model, actor, musician and more than anything, an entertainer. Creativity is at the center of everything I do. No matter the lane, if it has a creative edge to it, I’m giving it my all.

One of the projects I’m most known for is the music video “Already Won” with Rod Wave and Lil Durk, which is sitting at nearly 50 million views on YouTube. Moments like that mean a lot but honestly, I take the most pride in every single job I book. Each experience teaches me something new and pushes me to grow, so I can be even better the next time.

What really sets me apart though, is my mindset. No matter what happens, I choose to stay optimistic. I don’t let setbacks define me or tear me down. I’ve been through challenges, and I know there will be more, but I always find a way to keep going, keep improving, and keep believing in what I’m building.

Any big plans?
That’s kind of the scary part about all of this, you don’t really know what the future holds. But at the same time, that’s the beautiful part too.

For me, it’s bigger than just the work. I want to grow in every aspect of life. Not just as an entertainer, but as a person. As a brother, a son, a nephew, a grandson. I want to keep evolving, keep learning, and keep becoming better in every role I carry.

At the same time, I’m focused on building something real, an empire that represents everything I’ve put into this journey. Every experience, every setback, every win, it’s all part of what I’m creating.

And no matter where life takes me, one thing I know for sure is I’m going to keep growing, keep pushing, and keep building.
