Check Out Mad Sadiq’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Mad Sadiq.

Hi Mad , thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My name is Mad Sadiq. I am an artist and film maker.

I am from Charlotte, North Carolina. I have been making music for 11 years. I started producing music as a young kid, at 8 or 9 years old. I started writing at 13 years old. My friend Isaiah is the one who pushed me to take music serious and we would create together in high school. I then started recording music and shooting videos with my best friend StowKelly.

After I graduated high school, I went to Georgia State University for Film and Media, which is why I moved to Atlanta, GA. There I formed a rap group called 602castncrew with my friends Chief and Lootenit. We named it after the dorm room that they stayed in.

After I graduated from Georgia State, I went solo and started my production company, 602 Productions. Through the company I released my web show called “BROSO THE SHOW”. I have been growing my YouTube for the last two years. Over the past year I have been releasing a music video every week. I record, edit, and perform in the videos all myself.

I also have released a project every year since 2016. The next couple of projects I will be releasing in 2026 are “A LOT MORE FAITH” and “Capri 2”. Both projects are fully produced by Mudai. He is a producer out of San Antonio, TX and a dear friend of mine. We met in 2020 online and began working with each other in 2021. We put out our first album, “Capri”, in 2022.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The struggles have definitely been personal and professional. I believe the struggles have been all learning experiences. Being an independent artist, you have to figure out how to execute your ideas with limited resources. In that, you learn a lot about yourself, other artists, the music business, and music consumers.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I write, engineer, and executively produce all of my music. I also write and direct screenplays. I specialize in directing and producing.

What sets me apart from others is my originality and the world I’ve created over the years. I believe when people interact with my art, it is truly an all encompassing experience. My story/journey is also very much detailed through my art, so the audience definitely learn a lot about me and my perspective as well.

What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
I believe that the entertainment industry as a whole will start to revert back to what it was in the late 70s and early 80s. The expansion of AI will definitely become more prevalent which will resort in people wanting more authenticity. Physical media and live/in-person experiences will be in high demand.
