Check Out Maddy Ice’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Maddy Ice.

Hi Maddy, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I am a 15-year-old singer, songwriter, and producer. I am originally from St. Petersburg, Florida and now reside in Atlanta, Georgia. I started writing music when I was 12 years old. My mom said early on I would hum and dance to every song on the radio. In school, I attended band and chorus. I read music and play the piano, guitar, flute, make beats, and mix and master. I love music. It’s the one thing I think about every day. It’s that thing that makes me get up, be happy, and feel complete. I aspire to write and produce for another artist. I would like to tour and connect with people from all over the world musically.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
As an independent artist, it can be challenging. Some struggles have been… Growing an authentic platform, marketing, time management, building a team, financial, and reaching out to industry professionals.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am an artist. I specialize in writing music that makes you want to vibe. I’m known for my big hair or blue braids. I’m most proud of my albums. One is called “Summer Vibes,” and the other one releasing next month is called “Girl.” What sets me apart from other artists is the fact that I write, make my beats, mix, master, film my videos, take photos and create my album covers. I am my author and illustrator.

What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
The most important thing I have learned is things don’t happen overnight. Good things, especially the ones that last take time!
