Check Out Marica Chisolm’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Marica Chisolm. Them and their team share their story with us below:

Marica was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia; she started singing at the age of two while a member of Big Miller Grove Baptist Church, where she was remained a faithful member until the age of 20. She then went on to become a member of Citadel of Hope COGIC where God began to truly craft her gifting under the tutiledge of the late Maurice Culpepper and embrace her writing skills.2012 Simply Worship is born. Marica released her debut album, Simply Worship in which she captured the hearts of many and solidified her presence as the Duchess of Praise. Marica is an in-demand psalmist and worship leader, a licensed minister, and prayer leader. “My assignment is to help the saints of God to move to another dimension in worship.” Marica’s new album “Seeker” was released in May 2022 and debuted at #7 on the Billboard charts. She uses her favorite Bible verse to explain that she understands that this is her God-given, lifelong work: “Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ” – Phil. 1:6.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Has it been a smooth road? Absolutely not, lol. The road continues but what I can say is that although it’s been rough, it’s been guided.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am sooo proud of my latest album, “Seeker”, it was birthed at a time when I was grieving and needed the Lord more than ever. I’m proud of the perseverance, faith and grit that the Lord has given me.

How do you think about happiness?
What makes me happy is knowing that my family is taken care of, knowing that I am living in and on purpose, shoes and Tory Burch, lol.
