Check Out Nitara Reaves’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nitara Reaves.

Nitara Reaves

Hi Nitara, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
At the tender age of five, I found my voice, weaving pure magic into each note that I sang during Sunday services. My voice, a fusion of COGIC roots and Broadway vibrancy, captivated the hearts of many. As I grew, my love for music flourished. I found solace in Broadway tunes, belting out melodies from musicals, pouring my soul into every performance. But life took an unexpected turn when, in my mid-twenties, I became a mother of three beautiful children. My dreams took a backseat as I dedicated myself to nurturing my family.

However, My passion for singing never waned. I worked tirelessly, juggling multiple jobs to support my kids while nurturing my music career. Despite the challenges, I graced the stage, performing with iconic artists; my live shows would be infectious energy and emotion to anyone who would listen.

Through it all, My mantra became clear: love. Love fueled my music, my family, and my life. I believe that love is the essence of life itself, a message I often mention through my songs and my actions. My journey from a young church singer to a powerhouse performer is a testament to my unwavering dedication belief in the power of love to transcend boundaries and uplift souls.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The road has not been smooth. Over the course of my career, I’ve encountered many trials and tribulations. Nobody said it was going to be easy. Being a Woman of color in a male-dominated field of work, I have to work twice as hard to progress further into my career, but at the end of the day, I still persevere and trust in God.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a singer/songwriter, musician, producer, actress, and entertainer. I’m known for my outstanding live performances, professionalism, and making sure that people are receiving the messages of my music while having a great time. I am most proud of how far that I’ve come and how much range that I have. I’m able to do anything. I can act any part, play any role, and fulfill any assignment.

Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
I do believe in taking risks. Sometimes, you just have to put faith in God and put in that work. When God tells me to move, I do it standing 100% on faith. I’ve left my job to pursue music. Sometimes, I didn’t even know when I’d get my next meal. But when you trust yourself, and you trust in God, you will always come out on top.
