Check Out Raven Dean’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Raven Dean.

Hi Raven, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I woke up one day during Covid and decided I was going to chase my dreams.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
No it’s been extremely difficult lmao! Whoever said that acting was easy lied. It has literally forced me to look at myself and all the hurt I have hidden away. Not only that but I was diagnosed with a rare cancer in 2021 and had to have my adrenal gland removed. God saved me and I realized that we only get one life to live so just go for it.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m an Atlant based actress. I was in Antwan and you can watch that on tubi and also Untold Secrets of a plus size diva. What I’m most proud of is my consistency and dedication to my craft. While balancing a full-time job, l’ve continued to train, perform in multiple productions, and show up fully for every opportunity. That discipline has shaped me not just as an artist, but as a person.
What sets me apart is my resilience and presence. I bring a natural intensity and depth to my roles, along with a unique look and energy that makes people pay attention.
I’m not afraid to take risks, be seen, or stand in my truth-and that translates into performances that feel real and memorable. And I also ride an electric unicycle for fun

We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
I define success as alignment—when the work I’m doing, the life I’m building, and the person I’m becoming all feel true to me. It’s not just about booking roles or external recognition, but about growing as an artist, challenging myself, and showing up fully in every opportunity.
Success, to me, is also consistency. It’s continuing to pursue my craft even when things are uncertain, staying disciplined, and trusting that the work I’m putting in will compound over time.
Of course, I do have big goals, but I measure success in the present—by how fulfilled I feel, how much I’m learning, and how authentically I’m able to express myself through my work. If I can do that while creating opportunities that expand my career and impact others, that’s success to me.
