Community Highlights: Meet Bryan Majors of Major Prep

Today we’d like to introduce you to Bryan Majors. Them and their team share their story with us below:

Bryan Majors is a native of Harrisburg, PA. He graduated from Harrisburg High in 2006 with a 3.9 GPA. While a student, he was also a starting point guard for the Harrisburg Cougars for two years. Bryan was a superb student-athlete growing up and a member of the School Business and Industry Program.

Bryan took his educational and athletic abilities to Susquehanna University after being offered an academic scholarship. He then graduated in 2010 with a 3.6 GPA and was also the first African American male to earn a degree in Elementary Education from that institution.

In addition, Bryan had an outstanding basketball career- earning recognition as Rookie of the Year, two-time conference Defensive Player of the Year, career leader in assists, second leader in steals, two-year captain and was a four-year starter.

Bryan later took his mind and vision to Pennsylvania State University, Harrisburg Campus and earned a Master of Public Administration degree with a concentration in Non-Profit Organizations. While attending, Bryan was a graduate assistant with the basketball team and worked as an assistant to the Athletic Director.

In 2012, Bryan began laying the foundation for Major Prep LLC, Bryan Majors LLC, Major Prep Apparel, and Major Prep Cycle Breakers (501C3). Based on leadership, values, morals, and characteristics taught by his father about always being prepared for life’s opportunities and challenges, Bryan developed his companies with the mission to help others be prepared to address individual obstacles that undermine the achievement of life goals.

Now, Bryan is a retired professional basketball player for the Harlem Globetrotters Organization as a Washington General. He has solely embraced his entrepreneurial journey as the Modern Day Hope Dealer, an Amazon #1 Best Selling Author, Black Enterprise recognized author, Adjunct Professor, professional basketball trainer, Transformational Leadership and Character Development Coach who has impacted over thousands of lives.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Life is all about peaks and valleys. Nothing is ever perfect but every lesson you learn in life is worth it. Our companies are based on solutions never the problems. We continue to build, grow & make the necessary adjustments necessary for continued expansion.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Over the last 10 years, Bryan has had the responsibility to motivate, educate & inspire others to magnify their excellence. It is important for Bryan to help others become accountable, responsible and build upon their legacy. Bryan believes it is important for people to be involved so they can create a life of impact, influence & income. Everyone should strive to be a better person and with the high-impact strategies and methodologies that Bryan teaches, once executed comes with an immediate ROI.

Any big plans?
We plan on providing every school, university & company with luxury athletic apparel that represents the Power of Preparation. We are looking forward to our first warehouse where we can house a variety of small businesses with space for inventory, vending & product/company content and production.
