Community Highlights: Meet Naomi Lodge of Naomi Lodge Collection LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Naomi Lodge.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I started my business as a sophomore in high school at 15 years old, selling handmade waist beads. A trip to visit my dad turned into a business idea. I was at the mall one day, and a man was standing at a cart selling waist beads. My dad bought me two, and I was super happy. I looked at the waist beads and thought, “I can make this. This is easy.” And that’s exactly what I did.

On my ride home from the mall, I began planning my new business. Fast forward, I sold waist beads for three years before starting to add new products to my website as I got older and wanted to sell more than just waist beads.

At the age of 18, in November 2020, I came home from college, and a week later my mom unexpectedly passed away. My world and heart shattered into pieces. She was my best friend, and we were incredibly close. We talked about everything. She even gave me the business name that I have today: Naomi Lodge Collection.

Fast forward to June 2021, I launched my first lip gloss collection in honor of my mom, naming the shades after her. She had actually given me the idea to start selling the type of lip glosses I sell today back in March 2020. At that point, I felt it was my duty to bring to life the business that we would have run together now that she was no longer here.

I launched on June 11, 2021, and have been selling lip gloss ever since. Today, in 2026, my cosmetics brand is still going strong with the purpose of helping girls and women everywhere boost their confidence and reminding them of their own beauty through my lip gloss.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The death of my mom was my biggest struggle, as it caused me to step back, shut down my business for a period of time, and eventually relaunch. I received a lot of love and support from those around me, and people genuinely loved the products I released.

Business is never linear. As entrepreneurs, we experience slow seasons too, but it’s those seasons that show you whether you’re truly cut out for this life. With the help of God, my family, and my friends, I’ve been reminded time and time again that I’m capable and built for this.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Naomi Lodge Collection was built on the foundation of my mom being my biggest cheerleader. She gave me the business name and inspired the products I sell today. After her passing, I felt it was my duty to bring that vision to life.

I specialize in helping girls and women feel confident about themselves no matter where they are. Whether you’re at school, work, or home taking care of the kids, one swipe of my lip gloss is meant to remind you to take a moment for yourself, feel confident, and remember your beauty.

Self-love and taking care of yourself in all aspects is the standard. My mom poured into me from a young age and taught me that self-love is non-negotiable. She exuded confidence in a way that was contagious, and that’s exactly what I want my products to do for my customers.

I want someone to be using their Naomi Lodge Collection lip gloss and have another person stop and ask where they got it because they want that same confidence boost.

What sets me apart is that I am the chemist behind all of my formulas. I am intentional about every ingredient I choose to ensure the exact experience I want for my customers. I create glosses that won’t disappoint, but instead products people can depend on to deliver every time.

Brand-wise, I am most proud when customers leave reviews about their experience and tell me how happy they were to finally get a lip gloss they had been wanting before it sold out.

What was your favorite childhood memory?
My favorite childhood memory is the day my mom and I went to the mall shopping, and she intentionally took me into MAC, I believe, to get the famous LED Light and Mirror lip gloss.

I remember being in the store, I had to be around seven years old — looking around at all the makeup while she was at the register paying. We walked out of the store, and she handed me a lip gloss. I opened it and was amazed that it had a light. Then she told me to turn it around, and I saw the mirror.

She smiled and said, “Now you can always see yourself while you put your lip gloss on—and smile at me.”
