Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My journey to opening Lotus Wax ATL wasn’t a traditional one. I was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada, and moved to Atlanta in 2011. As a mother of three and a licensed esthetician with years of experience in the beauty industry, I always knew I wanted to create something of my own. What I didn’t know was that my biggest opportunity would come during one of the most challenging seasons of my life. While pregnant, going through a divorce, and navigating the uncertainty of being a single mother, I made the decision to bet on myself and open Lotus Wax ATL.

Shortly after opening, the world shut down due to COVID-19. Like many small business owners, I was faced with fear, uncertainty, and countless obstacles. There were moments when giving up would have seemed like the easier option, but I refused to let my circumstances define my future. Instead, I leaned into my faith, my work ethic, and my commitment to providing exceptional service. I focused on building genuine relationships with every client who walked through my doors, treating each person with care, professionalism, and gratitude.

What makes the story even more special is that I wasn’t originally from Atlanta. I didn’t have deep local roots or a large network when I started. Yet Atlanta embraced me in a way I’ll never forget. Through word-of-mouth referrals, loyal clients, and the support of the community, Lotus Wax ATL began to grow. One happy client turned into two, then ten, then hundreds. The trust people placed in me became the foundation of the business, and that organic growth continues to be one of the things I’m most proud of today.

Over the years, Lotus Wax ATL has evolved into much more than a waxing studio. We’ve expanded our services, built an incredible team, and created a space where clients can feel confident, cared for, and empowered. Looking back, I realize that every challenge from becoming a single mother to opening during a global pandemic helped shape the entrepreneur I am today. The success of Lotus Wax ATL is a testament to resilience, faith, consistency, and the power of community. What started as a leap of faith has grown into a thriving business, and I’m incredibly grateful for the journey.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
One of the biggest obstacles I faced was building a business in a city where I didn’t have a strong network or name recognition. Even though I had been living in Atlanta for several years, I wasn’t originally from here, so I had to build my clientele from the ground up. Every client relationship mattered, and I quickly learned that providing exceptional service and creating genuine connections would be the key to growing my business.

Opening Lotus Wax ATL during the uncertainty of the COVID era made the journey even more challenging. As a new business owner, I had to earn trust, adapt quickly, and stay focused despite the unknowns. Looking back, those challenges helped shape the business into what it is today. The support of my clients and the power of word-of-mouth referrals allowed Lotus Wax ATL to grow into a thriving business, and I’m incredibly grateful for the Atlanta community that embraced me along the way.

Lotus Wax ATL is an organic waxing and skincare studio dedicated to helping clients look and feel their best through natural, results-driven treatments. We specialize in full-body waxing, customized skincare services, lymphatic facials, intimate skincare, and corrective treatments designed to boost confidence from head to toe. One thing that has always been important to me is creating a clean, welcoming environment where clients feel comfortable, educated, and genuinely cared for.

What sets Lotus Wax ATL apart is our commitment to using organic, skin-friendly products whenever possible and avoiding harsh chemicals that can irritate the skin. We were also one of the first businesses in our area to introduce services like vajacials and organic skin-brightening treatments for the bikini area, helping clients address concerns that weren’t being widely discussed or treated at the time. I’ve always believed that intimate skincare deserves the same level of attention and professionalism as facial skincare, and that philosophy has helped us build a loyal client base over the years.

What I’m most proud of is the trust we’ve built within the Atlanta community. Many of our clients have been with us for years and continue to refer their friends and family because they know they’ll receive honest recommendations, exceptional service, and real results. Lotus Wax ATL has grown into more than a waxing studio, it’s a place where people can feel confident, empowered, and comfortable in their own skin, and that’s something I’ll never take for granted.

Alright, so to wrap up, is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
Another aspect of Lotus Wax ATL that I’m incredibly proud of is our product line. As an esthetician, I wanted products that aligned with my philosophy of using natural, effective ingredients, so I began formulating many of them myself. Some of our most popular products include our Ingrown Hair Oil designed to support healthy skin and address common concerns after waxing. We also offer our signature Lemon Turmeric Scrub, which has become a client favorite for its ability to gently exfoliate, brighten, and promote smoother-looking skin. Every product is created with a focus on organic ingredients and real results, allowing clients to continue their skincare routine long after they leave the treatment room.

Education is another passion of mine. Over the years, I’ve trained a numerous amount of aspiring estheticians in what I call the Lotus Wax Method, a technique and client-care approach built on professionalism, consistency, results, and creating an exceptional client experience. As the beauty industry continues to grow, I’m committed to helping the next generation of estheticians build successful careers. Today, I continue to provide training and mentorship opportunities for beauty professionals in both Atlanta and Los Angeles, sharing the knowledge I’ve gained throughout my journey as an entrepreneur and esthetician.
