Community Highlights: Meet Tawanda Farley

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tawanda Farley.

Tawanda, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started out as a foster care worker for GA DFCS. After realizing that this job had NO work/home balance; I began teaching science at a middle school in my hometown. While these jobs were quite fulfilling, I desired more for myself and my kids. This is why I chose to pursue a career in real estate.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has most definitely not been an easy road, however it is well worth it. With the market being the way that it is currently with the high-interest rates and lack of inventory in desired areas of living, there has been a struggle with finding affordable homes for clients. But for every no, there’s a yes that makes it worth it.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I am a realtor affiliated with ABR Realty. We believe ownership is attainable regardless of one’s current circumstances. Working together, it is possible for everyone to obtain ownership. I offer expertise in residential/commercial properties. I offer a unique property buying experience by working alongside MLOs that will do everything in their power to get clients approved!

We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
I believe we create our own luck. If we work hard enough, we can obtain whatever it is our heart’s desire.
