Conversations with the Inspiring Holly Bortolazzo

Today we’d like to introduce you to Holly Bortolazzo.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Born and raised in Atlanta. An actual Georgia Peach. Lol. I went to college in south Florida and then later moved back to Atlanta and started my cosmetology career and modeling. A few years later, I packed and moved to LA and continued modeling and have been published as the cover model 4x, including Maxim. Aside from modeling, I have also been published on the cover of several magazines for hair and makeup. After being in LA for a few years, I decided to move back home to Atlanta to be closer to my family. Family is everything to me. So now, I’m currently living in Buckhead, still modeling here and there and still doing makeup and skincare. In my free time, I like to stay pretty low key and hang with my family and my boyfriend, and travel to see my family’s horses race. We’re really big into that and it’s about the only sport I actually understand/enjoying watching lmao.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Nothing is ever really a smooth road, lol. Sometimes, it’s valuable to listen to what other people have to say, but sometimes, you also have to tune it out. I feel like I’ve gotten some criticism about modeling from people who know me or don’t, but I’ve kinda taught myself to not really care and stay in my own world. Everyone has a path for them and if you want something bad enough, then you just have to listen to your heart.

What should we know about your business? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
I’ve been modeling since I was about 16 or 17. I’m proud of my accomplishments as far as being published and having all the opportunities and experiences that I’ve come across. I’ve branded myself and taken advantage of that and have been doing skincare. I love being in the beauty industry and making others feel pretty.

Do you have any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general? What has worked well for you?
Well, as far as mentors go, I’ve always looked up to my parents a lot. I’d be nowhere without them. Advise wise, find someone you trust and who believes in you.
