Today we’d like to introduce you to Bernice Farrell.
Hi Bernice , can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I’ve always loved artistry and transformation, so stepping into beauty just felt natural. Back in 2019, I was featured in VoyageATL, and since then I’ve leveled up—taking pro makeup courses, getting published in local and international magazines, and most recently graduating as a Master Cosmetologist and earning my license. Every step has been about learning, growing, and creating looks that make people feel confident and seen—sometimes in heels, sometimes in a mask, but always with a little flair.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Not at all! Balancing federal work, clients, going back to school, and juggling a teenager’s endless activities was like juggling flaming scissors—exciting, a little chaotic, but always rewarding. There were days I doubted myself and nights that felt endless, but every challenge taught me patience, resilience, and the importance of believing in my vision. Honestly, I wouldn’t trade a single moment—each struggle made the wins even sweeter.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a Master Cosmetologist and makeup artist, and I specialize in everything from bridal and editorial beauty to nails and special effects makeup for TV and film. I love creating looks that make people feel confident, powerful, and seen—whether it’s a bride walking down the aisle, a model on a magazine cover, or a client leaving with the perfect mani.
I’m proud that my work has been published locally and internationally, and that I’ve built a business centered on personalized, luxury experiences. What sets me apart is my combination of technical skill, creativity, and genuine care for each client—making sure they not only look amazing but feel amazing too.
Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs or other resources you think our readers should check out?
I’m a big believer in continuous learning and staying inspired. I regularly follow industry trends and techniques, and I love networking with other professionals in the field to share ideas, motivation, and creative inspiration. I also use my website to showcase my work and stay organized with client bookings and projects. Staying curious, connected, and always learning is key to doing my best—both in work and in life.
