Hi Brandon, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Born to a hard working middle class Cop & Schoolteacher in Queens, New York. We separated from Dad when I was age 6 & moved to Washington DC & Prince George’s County to continue our lives. Mom put me in professional dance classes at age 7 later at age 9 Acting & Vocal classes at Howard University Children’s workshop. At 18 Ellis’ was accepted into The Alvin Ailey American Dance Center on full merit scholarship in NYC. The bulk of his extensive training was there. Later after touring with Alvin Ailey, Dayton Contemporary Dance Company, & Philadanco he began teaching dance all across the United States & aboard. Musical theatre was a big part of his journey while living in Syracuse, NY. at The Redhouse Theatre. Once he was offered 3 different teaching jobs here in Atlanta. He relocated to teach & continue Acting. Today he is an Artistic Director at Drama & Arts Academy , Actor, Choreographer & Casting Director at Sis to Sis Productions . Ellis has also worked on sets in the hair department since he’s also a state licensed hairstylist. His hope is that his body of industry credits of various his talents touches & transforms others .

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Not at all. One obstacle that comes to mind is living with Vitiligo but also being mixed with Italian, Panamanian, Jamaican & Black primarily. I had find my place in the world that felt safe & celebrated through the performing arts.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Currently I’m most known for starring as well as cast various movies that are currently streaming on 8 different platforms including Tubi. The titles are “Sisters and the Shrink 2”, pt.3, pt.4, pt.5. “Watch It “. I’ve made several various types of television appearances one most memorable was BravoTv’s reboot of the hit dating reality show “Blind Date” and WeTV’s “The Braxtons “ season 2, episodes 1,4 & 5. I’m still very well respected in the professional dance world. So much a dear colleague of mine in Texas called me to come teach at his performing arts school & meet his community there so I can be commissioned to choreograph a much larger powerful installation, which I’m slated to return 2027 to begin the production process of it.

What was your favorite childhood memory?
Playing with Barbie Dolls, sewing their clothes, cutting their hair, doing their makeup, recreating scenes from my favorite childhood tv shows. It was my safe place when my Dad would mistreat my Mom.
