Today we’d like to introduce you to JAR3LL.
Hi JAR3LL, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I am an artist from Harrisburg Pennsylvania, who moved down to Georgia at 13 and started to pursue my music career in 2018 and have dropped five projects and started performing in the metro Atlanta area. I’ve done interviews, performances, trying to build my following and also in pursuit to be an entrepreneur with my production company, Baskerville 3nterprise. My music name is JAR3LL, which is my middle name spelled with a 3, so it’s easy to look me up.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
It had not been a smooth road. You never know if anyone will like your stuff. You’ll never know if you have what it takes to get people to listen and actually pay for your talent. Trying to break out of my shell was hard, but I’ve been able to manage, want to do this for my family my parents have six children I’m trying to make sure they are all good so taking the necessary steps to get out there. The main problem has been trying to catch people’s attention because I know I have the talent, but it’s starting to pay off.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a musician, and I make music. I’ve dropped five projects called, in the vault, UNORTHADOX, visionary, florescent sunflower, and after the sun sets, I am a rapper and singer, I only started rapping because my singing voice was going through changes. My happiest accomplishments are actually getting out of my shell to perform and working on getting a video done for my music and networking with other underground artists. I make all of my music, and I create all of the covers. My mother is basically my manager and my dad and they are Soni and Chris. What’s sets me apart from others is the fact that my music tells a story and I actually talk about life and love. I have a vibe a lot of these artists do not have at all, and if you listened, you would understand where I’m coming from, I’m known for being the dude who does music.
Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
I’m 21, working on a new project and making music videos, social media is _jar3ll_ on Instagram and Twitter, I am almost basically my own team, I really have started with humble beginning whether it was a small amount of people in the room for my performance, or if I didn’t have the team I wanted on my side who left being able to be me but the first opportunity I was given were the uptown black-owned comedy club in Hapeville and Atlanta unplugged podcast In lathonia.
