Conversations with Franchesca Davis

Today we’d like to introduce you to Franchesca Davis.

Hi Franchesca, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I’ve always been drawn to storytelling. Acting was my first love, and over the years I’ve pursued it through theater, film, and independent projects. What started as a passion for performing eventually grew into a desire to create opportunities not just for myself, but for other creatives as well.

That desire led to the founding of Cre8 Productions. Alongside my co-founders, I wanted to build a company where artists could tell meaningful stories, develop their craft, and create high-quality content in a collaborative environment. We started with a simple belief that there are infinite possibilities when talented people come together with a shared vision.

Since launching Cre8, we’ve produced original films, worked with local businesses, earned recognition at film festivals, and continued developing larger projects, including our upcoming series. Each project has taught us something new about storytelling, leadership, and building a sustainable creative business.

My journey hasn’t been a straight line. I’ve balanced acting, corporate work, entrepreneurship, and now motherhood. Each chapter has shaped how I approach both my creative work and leadership. Acting taught me empathy and connection. Producing taught me how to bring ideas to life. Building Cre8 taught me resilience and collaboration.

Today, my goal is to continue growing as an actress, producer, and storyteller while helping CRE8 become a platform that creates opportunities for other creatives and brings impactful stories to audiences. At the heart of everything I do is a belief in the power of storytelling to connect people, inspire change, and leave a lasting legacy.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
One of the biggest lessons I learned was that sometimes you have to create the opportunities you’re looking for. That mindset ultimately led to the creation of Cre8 Productions. My co-founders and I shared a vision of building a space where creatives could tell meaningful stories, develop their craft, and create opportunities for ourselves and others. The name Cre8 reflects our belief in creating, innovating, and embracing the infinite possibilities that come from pursuing a vision with intention.

Building Cre8 has been incredibly rewarding, but it hasn’t been easy. We officially launched in 2023 and secured our first client in 2024. Since then, we’ve produced original films, collaborated with local businesses, earned recognition at film festivals, and continued developing larger projects. Along the way, we’ve had to learn everything from production logistics and fundraising to client acquisition and business development.

On a personal level, there were also seasons where I had to rediscover my own voice and confidence. Some chapters of my life taught me difficult lessons about self-worth, resilience, and trusting my instincts. Those experiences ultimately made me a better storyteller because they gave me a deeper understanding of people and the human experience.

Most recently, I’ve been navigating the balance of entrepreneurship, creativity, marriage, motherhood, and career growth. Becoming a mother has added a whole new perspective to my life and my work. It’s taught me even more about purpose, legacy, and what truly matters.

Looking back, it definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, but I think that’s what makes the journey meaningful. Every challenge has taught me something valuable and helped shape the person, actress, and founder I am today. Through it all, I’ve remained committed to storytelling and to building Cre8 into a company that creates opportunities, amplifies voices, and reminds people of the infinite possibilities that exist when creativity and purpose come together.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am an actress, producer, and co-founder of Cre8 Productions, a creative production company focused on developing original films, series, and digital content. At my core, I’m a storyteller. Whether I’m in front of the camera as an actress or behind the scenes helping bring a project to life, I’m passionate about creating stories that connect people, spark conversation, and leave a lasting impact.

As an actress, I’ve worked in theater, film, and independent productions, and I continue to pursue opportunities that challenge me creatively and allow me to explore the complexity of human experiences. Acting taught me empathy, vulnerability, and the importance of authentic storytelling.

As a co-founder of Cre8 Productions, I’ve helped build a company dedicated to creating original content while providing opportunities for fellow creatives. Since launching Cre8, we’ve produced narrative films, partnered with local businesses, and had projects selected for film festivals. I’m particularly proud of our commitment to building a collaborative environment where people feel supported in bringing their ideas to life.

What I’m most proud of is not any single project, but the fact that I’ve continued pursuing my creative dreams while navigating life’s many responsibilities. I’ve built a career that allows me to create, lead, and inspire while balancing work, family, and entrepreneurship.

What sets me apart is my ability to see the bigger picture. I understand storytelling from multiple perspectives: as an actor, producer, creator, and business owner. That combination allows me to contribute creatively while also understanding the strategy, collaboration, and leadership required to bring a vision from idea to execution. Above all, I strive to create work that is authentic, meaningful, and rooted in genuine human connection.

Do you have any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
My favorite childhood memory is my first trip to Disney World when I was five years old. I went with my dad and my Aunt Nita, and at that age, everything felt magical.

I remember seeing the castle for the first time and truly believing I had stepped into another world. The characters weren’t people in costumes to me, they were real. Every ride felt like an adventure, every parade felt larger than life, and every corner of the park seemed filled with possibility. There was a level of innocence and awe that only a child can experience, where you don’t question the magic, you simply believe in it.

Looking back, what makes the memory so special isn’t just Disney itself. It’s the feeling of being surrounded by people who loved me and wanted to create a joyful experience for me. My dad and Aunt Nita made me feel safe, excited, and free to experience the world with wide-eyed wonder.

As I’ve gotten older, I’ve realized that trip was about more than a vacation. It represents a time when life felt limitless and imagination had no boundaries. In many ways, that same sense of wonder is what continues to inspire me today as an actress and storyteller. I still chase that feeling of being transported into another world and helping others experience something magical, meaningful, and unforgettable.

And now, when I think back on that trip, it carries even more meaning because Aunt Nita is no longer here. The memory reminds me not only of the magic of Disney, but of the love, joy, and generosity she brought into my life. It’s a moment I’ll always treasure.
