Conversations with Kashaveli

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kashaveli.

Hi Kashaveli, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Right now, I’m in a season where I’m truly thriving as an independent artist and creative. What makes this chapter meaningful is that everything has been built organically through consistency, real-world experiences, and belief in my vision
Over the past few years, I’ve focused on creating more than just music — I’ve been building a recognizable brand and identity people can connect with. From performing at BET Awards Weekend, SXSW , Caribana Festival and networking in cities like Atlanta, Charlotte, Toronto, New York, and even Los Angeles to creating viral content, interviews, visuals, and live performances, I’ve learned how to move independently while still creating impact.

My Alien brand is becoming a staple in the music industry on the indie level especially. I create and maintain an environment that the everyday consumer and listener can relate to. Raw, authentic Hip-hop mixed with personal stories and accented with glances of Rock, Pop and other genres. SPEED music is my wave and the tide is approaching the shore at an alarming rate. I encourage music lovers to grab their speed gear and swim along with me.

My music reflects ambition, pressure, growth, and staying locked in through every challenge. Projects like Space Invaders and records like Locked In represent the hunger and determination I represent. I want listeners to feel authenticity when they hear my music because every song comes from my experiences and life.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Like most independent artists, the journey hasn’t been easy. The biggest challenge has been staying consistent while juggling everything at once. As an independent creative, you’re not just making music — you’re the marketer, the brand strategist, the content creator, the networker, and the person figuring out how to keep everything moving with limited resources.

There were plenty of moments where things didn’t go according to plan. Financial pressure, balancing real life with chasing music seriously, and pushing through uncertainty all tested me. Building independently demands a different kind of discipline because there’s no major machine carrying you forward. A lot of it comes down to self-belief, resilience, and showing up every day before the recognition arrives.

Another challenge was finding a way to stand out in an industry that moves fast and forgets even faster. Instead of chasing trends or comparing myself to other artists, I learned to carve out my own lane. That meant doubling down on authenticity, building genuine connections, and creating content that actually reflects who I am.

At the same time, those struggles became fuel. They made me sharper, more adaptable, and more focused on the bigger picture. Every setback pushed me to level up my craft, strengthen my branding, and build Kashaveli into something bigger than music — a long-term creative brand with real impact.

Looking back, the struggles gave my music its depth. They gave me stories people can connect with, and that authenticity is something I’ll never sacrifice as I continue to grow.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
When people talk about Kashaveli, one thing that always comes up is that I move differently. I’ve built a reputation for being “the Alien” of the music industry — I’m the artist that brings a completely original energy, sound, and creative approach that stands outside the norm. That identity comes from never being afraid to experiment, evolve, and create moments that feel unpredictable.

My work blends music, performance, culture, branding, and content creation into one experience. Whether I’m performing live, creating visuals, doing interviews, or building viral content online, everything ties back into the bigger vision of the Kashaveli brand. I want people to feel like they’re stepping into another world when they experience what I create.

Lately, I’ve been pushing that vision even further with records like No Control and K.T.A.. Those songs represent my confidence, intensity, ambition, and the energy that defines where I’m at creatively right now. They reflect my respect for Hip-hop and the fun that this genre represents.

As my music continues to evolve, networking and relationship-building have become an important part of expanding the Kashaveli movement. I’ve had opportunities to connect and collaborate with some of the music industry’s most notable names while growing my reach through conferences, live events, interviews, and performances. Experiences like being involved with New York Music Month Conference gave me insight into both the creative and business side of the industry while helping establish me as an emerging independent artist.

Those connections and experiences have also inspired me to focus on creating opportunities not just for myself, but for the culture around me. One example is Speedfest, a festival and car show experience connected to the energy and movement I’m building. For me, it’s important to create platforms, moments, and spaces where music, creativity, and community all come together in a way that leaves a lasting impact.

At the core of everything I do is the goal of building something timeless. I don’t want Kashaveli to just be recognized for songs — I strive to represent innovation, independence, creativity, and a completely unique presence in modern hip hop culture for years to come.

What was your favorite childhood memory?
My favorite childhood memories are full of moments of playing at gigs with my cousins. As a child, I never realized how talented everyone was.
