Today we’d like to introduce you to Kenna Goodwin.
Kenna, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Kenna’s modeling journey started in a way I think many moms can relate to. When I first gave birth to her, I remember looking at her and thinking she was the most beautiful baby girl I had ever seen. Like any proud mom, I took a million pictures of her! Before long, she became so used to the camera that she started smiling on cue, posing naturally, and following simple direction whenever I took her pictures. I began noticing how comfortable she was in front of the camera, and that’s what inspired me to start looking into modeling agencies in our area.
While searching for opportunities, I stumbled across C2 Kids Agency, which currently represents Kenna. From there, what started as a mom taking endless pictures of her baby girl turned into the beginning of a really exciting journey. Her first modeling opportunity was with Carter’s Spring 2024 collection. She later had the opportunity to be an understudy for a Graco stroller shoot that same spring. Most recently, she returned to Carter’s for its Fall 2026 collection, and had the special experience of sharing the set with her baby brother.
What makes this journey so meaningful to me is that it all began with something as simple as loving on my baby and wanting to capture every little moment. Today, Kenna genuinely enjoys being in front of the camera. She loves to pose, smile, and even take pictures herself! As her mom, I’m grateful for every opportunity she receives, but more than anything, I love watching her confidence and personality shine. I want her to enjoy being a little girl, have fun with every experience, and always know that she is supported no matter where this journey takes her.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Honestly, it has been a pretty smooth and exciting journey so far! Kenna has a personality that people tend to notice right away. During auditions, she is often praised for her confidence, calmness, and the way she carries herself. She has a little personality of her own, and it’s always fun to see how she connects with the people she meets.
One area where I’ve seen room for improvement is in hair and beauty support on set. As a Black mother raising a young Black girl, it’s important to me that the professionals working with her understand how to care for and style her hair.
From preparing her look to making quick touch-ups between shots, having someone who is knowledgeable and comfortable working with Black children’s hair makes a real difference. I think greater representation among the beauty professionals behind the scenes is just as important as the representation we see in front of the camera.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
Kenna is a three-year-old child model who has worked in children’s fashion and lifestyle campaigns, including opportunities with Carter’s and Graco. She is still very much a little girl discovering the world, but modeling has given her a fun way to express herself and experience something new.
Outside of modeling, Kenna is a bright, curious, and very expressive little girl. She is well-spoken for her age, communicates her feelings directly, and has a strong sense of what she likes and dislikes. She can be surprisingly decisive, and I love that she is already learning how to express herself and make her preferences known.
What makes Kenna special to me is that her personality shines just as much as her smile. She can be poised in front of the camera, but she also has her own opinions, interests, and silly side. I’m most proud of the little person she is becoming. The modeling opportunities are exciting, but helping her grow into a confident, thoughtful, and happy child will always mean the most to me.
Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
What Kenna loves most about Atlanta is the people and all of the fun experiences there are for kids. She loves meeting new people, interacting with other children, having opportunities to play/ explore, and having little adventures with her family. Atlanta gives us plenty of ways to keep her curious, active, and entertained.
As for what she likes least, I would probably say the traffic! She definitely doesn’t enjoy sitting in the car for too long, especially when she knows we’re on our way somewhere fun.
But overall, she really enjoys growing up in Atlanta and we love that Atlanta offers so many experiences for families and growing little personalities.
