Conversations with Marvoyee Yeedia

Today we’d like to introduce you to Marvoyee Yeedia.

Hi Marvoyee, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I remember sitting in the back seat of my parents’ car, watching people walk along the street as they drove, and quietly praying for them in my heart. Even at a young age, I knew I wanted to help people. More specifically, I always had a special place in my heart for women and girls, and I knew that one day I wanted to lead them in whatever way God had planned. As I grew up, like any adolescent, I went through so many emotional, mental, and physical changes. But one thing that never changed was my heart to lead women. My name actually means “a lot of women” because I am the youngest of two sisters. That just goes to show how powerful names really are. Fast forward to college, I lived my life and did all the things, until God completely captured my heart and snatched me right up in January 2022. It happened through an encounter with a young adult ministry (shoutout to Become U Young Adults at Kennesaw State), which was called Lighthouse at the time. I can genuinely say that encounter changed my life. I grew so much, built lifelong friendships, and that ministry became a training ground for me. It developed me spiritually, strengthened my leadership, and shaped me in so many other ways. In 2024, I felt God leading me to end my time with the ministry. There was so much happening in my life at the time, but behind the scenes, unknowingly God was preparing me for something new.
Back in August 2023, I started a brand called BaddiesForGOoD, which focused on identity as a daughter of God and walking boldly in your God given authority. After leaving the ministry, I poured more of my time into BFG and over the next two years, with a few pauses along the way, and by God’s grace, it grew into a community of more than 50 women. Stay with me now, we’re almost there. In December 2025, BFG officially underwent a rebrand into what is now Threefold Young Adults, a co-ed community that emphasizes the importance of biblical community and genuine connection. It stems from Ecclesiastics 4:12. Fully surrendering to God can honestly be hard, especially when so many of your desires are still rooted in the world. However, the journey becomes so much easier when you have like-minded people walking alongside you. People who will love you, keep you accountable, point you back to Christ, and simply have genuine, wholesome fun with. That’s what Threefold is all about

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Like most success stories, there’s always a challenge that had to be overcome. For me, there were many. But I think the biggest one was battling imposter syndrome. Sometimes I still sit back and think, Wow… little ole shy Marvoyee is now leading groups of people, doing photoshoots and all the things, and overall taking big leaps of faith! Imposter syndrome is something I’ve struggled heavily with since I was a child, but I didn’t fully understand where it stemmed from until I was clinically diagnosed with ADHD in 2022. It explained why I often executed on things more slowly, had a harder time processing certain information, found myself stuck in paralysis funks, and felt like it took so much more effort to accomplish my goals than it seemed to for everyone else. With that understanding, I was finally able to give myself more grace and seek the support I needed. I think one of the biggest turning points for me came after I relaunched Baddies For GOoD. Man… I felt unstoppable, like I could do anything. I did a photoshoot, created a brand video, and something about channeling my inner creative, embracing my femininity, and fully stepping into the vision God had given me completely shifted my confidence. It wasn’t just about the photos or the content, it was realizing that I was capable of making big, uncomfortable moves and succeeding anyway. That experience changed the way I approached fear. If I could encourage anyone struggling with imposter syndrome, it would simply be this: literally just do it. I know it’s something we hear all the time, but I kid you not it works. That’s honestly how I’ve been able to execute so many of the other big things God has called me to do. If you think about something for too long, you’ll create fear and delay what God is asking you to step into. Especially when you’ve prayed about it, taken the time to truly discern God’s voice, and everything is pointing to, “Yes, proceed,” you have to move. The more you choose obedience over fear, the easier it becomes to take those big leaps the next time God calls you to something bigger than you.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Outside of Threefold, I’m a Public Health professional (S/O to all my Public Health Hotties) working in Adolescent Health and Youth Development. I’m also currently pursuing my Master of Public Health in Health Administration and Management at Georgia State University. My passion lies in women’s holistic wellness, and I’ve recently developed a deep interest in global health. One of my long term aspirations is to expand health education initiatives by partnering with and training community healthcare workers particularly in rural communities in Liberia (where my parents are from) to improve access to quality healthcare services and strengthen the health system. Apart from that… cue the drumrolls please… I’m also the founder of Official Alabaster, a women’s faith-based clothing brand centered around elevated essentials. I’m incredibly excited about Alabaster because for a long time, I’ve heard women express that most faith-based apparel leans heavily toward streetwear and honestly, I agree. I wanted to create a brand where women can look elevated, feel comfortable, wear quality pieces, and boldly proclaim their faith all at the same time. Even deeper than clothing, the heart behind the brand comes from Matthew 26:13, inspired by the woman with the alabaster jar. Alabaster is a reminder to live a life of sacrificial love and wholehearted worship for Jesus, giving Him our very best in all that we are and in all that we do, even when our “best” may not seem like much. It’s complete surrender even in the midst of imperfections. I don’t intend for Alabaster to be limited to apparel. It’s a movement—women committed to honoring Christ through the way they live, love, serve, and show up in the world. Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
Some say good luck, I call it favor. Wow… God has truly favored me in so many ways. From giving me the grace to take risks, succeed, and inspire others, to connecting me with the right people at the right time, He has continually placed me in rooms and environments where influential people have had the opportunity to know who Marvoyee is. However, I’ve also learned that favor isn’t just about receiving everything you want. Sometimes favor is found in the small overlooked wins… pausing long enough to recognize just how blessed you are, remembering where you once were, and reflecting on how far God has brought you. When I look back over my life, I don’t just see accomplishments, I see God’s hand. His favor has opened doors I couldn’t have opened on my own, sustained me in seasons that stretched me, and continually reminded me that every opportunity is a gift of His grace. I’m forever grateful for his love. I leave you with Matthew 6:33.
