Conversations with Mesita Partridge

Today we’d like to introduce you to Mesita Partridge.

Hi Mesita, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I’ve always loved bringing people together and creating memorable experiences. In 2016, I officially launched Events by Mesita with a simple goal: to help people celebrate life’s biggest moments without the stress. What started as a passion project quickly grew through referrals, repeat clients, and a commitment to providing exceptional service.

Over the years, I’ve evolved from solely planning events to becoming a full-service event designer and floral designer, creating weddings, social celebrations, corporate events, and destination experiences. Today, Events by Mesita serves clients throughout Atlanta and beyond, and we’ve had the opportunity to produce everything from intimate celebrations to large-scale events.

One of the things I’m most proud of is that we’ve remained in business for over a decade in an industry that is constantly changing. Along the way, I’ve built an incredible team, expanded into floral design and rentals, launched industry initiatives that support wedding professionals, and established myself as a trusted resource for clients who value creativity, professionalism, and a luxury experience.

At the heart of it all, I still love seeing a client’s vision come to life and creating moments they’ll remember forever.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, but every challenge has helped shape the business we have today.
Like many entrepreneurs, I’ve faced seasons of uncertainty, especially during major shifts in the event industry. The pandemic forced event professionals everywhere to rethink how we serve clients, communicate, and operate. I’ve also experienced the challenges that come with scaling a business—hiring a team, refining systems, managing growth, and learning how to balance creativity with the realities of running a company.

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is the importance of resilience. Entrepreneurship requires you to adapt, stay focused, and continue showing up even when things don’t go according to plan. Looking back, many of the obstacles I faced ultimately became opportunities for growth and helped me become a stronger business owner and leader.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Events by Mesita is a luxury event planning, design, and floral company based in Atlanta. We specialize in weddings, corporate events, milestone celebrations, destination events, and custom floral design.

We’re known for creating elevated experiences that feel both beautiful and personal. My design style blends modern elegance with warm Southern hospitality, creating events that are visually stunning while still feeling inviting and authentic.
What I’m most proud of is the trust our clients place in us. Many of our clients come through referrals, and we’ve had the privilege of working with families and organizations through multiple milestones over the years.

What sets us apart is our ability to combine planning, design, and floral expertise under one roof. Clients appreciate having a creative partner who can oversee both the logistical and visual aspects of their event. We don’t believe in cookie-cutter celebrations. Every event is thoughtfully designed to reflect the people, brands, and stories behind it.

What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
I believe the event industry will continue moving toward more personalized and experience-driven celebrations. Clients are becoming less interested in simply following trends and more focused on creating meaningful moments that reflect who they are.

Technology will also play a larger role, from AI-powered planning tools to more immersive guest experiences and content creation opportunities. At the same time, I think we’ll see a renewed appreciation for human connection, hospitality, and thoughtful design.

Another major shift is that clients are increasingly looking for trusted experts who can simplify the process. Rather than managing multiple vendors independently, many clients prefer working with professionals who can provide a more streamlined, concierge-level experience.
