Today we’d like to introduce you to Mis BabyCakes.
Hi Mis, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Born Christene Renee ‘ , in Atlanta, GA on June 13. As a child I did several stage plays for school & church for many years. At the age of 13 I landed my own television show on a cable TV network for kids called ” The Real Deal On The Reel” . The show ran for a strong year! Based on movie reviews . I had the honor of being on red carpets for movie premieres such as ” Deliver Us From Eva” , ” Dr. Dolittle ” and many more. Having the opportunity to interview stars such as ‘ LL Cool J, Lil Zane , & Lala. Receiving recognition from Channel 2 news as the youngest correspondence reviewing major movies.
As time passed I gained a love for music and became a recording artist. I’ve had roles in music videos as leading lady. I have also appeared as a cameo in web series ” Atlantas Ugly” . As well as a solid role in the popular viral web series ” Atlanta Avenue ” as ” Cakes” . Today I have my own worldwide TV broadcast show called ” Cake Talk Live ” ! A platform to promote & introduce any brand from music to clothes. Currently the #1 show on the network.
After the tragic loss of my best friend and manger ‘ Word Of Mouth ‘ ; as well as my fiance and producer within months it seemed things were to difficult to continue. After a couple years of support and healing I’m back to present my new album ‘ Unavailable ‘ dropping 2026.
In the near future I look forward to more acting , taking my music and TV show to the next level; pursuing as many goals as possible. Everything I take on is a priority. I dedicate myself to any project. I am a woman of many talents ; host, brand ambassador, actress, business owner, recording artist, promoter and ambitious. This is just the beginning!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road but I’m blessed beyond measures. The biggest struggle was personal relationships and losing people close to me.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I worked as a physician assistant for many years. I jumped out on faith and focused everyday on building my brand. For 3 years I built a foundation and worked my way up as an entrepreneur. My manager/bestfriend fell ill and needed help running his restaurant. Shortly after his death, I was surprised to know he left my his restaurant. I took it over and ran it for about a year. I’m proud that I never put myself in a box and trusted God. I’m not afraid to take chances.
We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
I left a career job, a dream job because I was unhappy and knew that wasn’t my path. If I would have never left I wouldn’t have the platform or recognition I have now.
