Conversations with Nasa’Ria Davis

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nasa’Ria Davis.

Nasa’Ria, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My name is Nasa’Ria Davis, and I’m a 22-year-old entrepreneur from Macon, Georgia. I’ve always had an entrepreneurial spirit. After leaving high school in the 11th grade, I earned my GED two years later. That experience taught me resilience early on and showed me that everyone’s path looks different. It also helped shape the determination I carry into my business today.

Back in 2021 during the pandemic, I started a small business making lip glosses, selling lashes, and creating custom Crocs. I’ve always loved creating things, but at the time I was still trying to figure out where I truly belonged as an entrepreneur.

Around that same time, I became interested in body butters. I bought the oils, butters, and supplies, fully convinced I was going to start a business, but life happened. I wasn’t consistent, and looking back, I think I was still searching for my lane and learning more about myself. What felt like starting over multiple times was really preparation for what was ahead.

In 2024, the idea came back to me. Sitting alone in my studio apartment, I started researching ingredients and dreaming up scent combinations. What began as a simple idea slowly became something bigger. Then, after moving into a larger apartment the following year, my creativity seemed to take off. I found myself spending hours experimenting with fragrances, studying skincare ingredients, and creating products that genuinely excited me.

At the same time, I was going through my own healing journey. I learned how important it is to pour back into yourself, give yourself grace, and create space for growth. I realized many people—women, men, and even children—are looking for support, confidence, comfort, and a sense of belonging. That realization became the foundation of HEAL.

Today, HEAL is more than body crème. It’s a brand built on resilience, self-discovery, and the belief that healing is a lifelong journey. My goal is to create products that help people feel good in their skin while building a community that reminds them they’re supported along the way.

What started as ideas in a small apartment has grown into a business that allows me to combine my love for skincare, creativity, and helping others. At 22 years old, I’m still growing, still learning, and still building—but I’m proud that I chose to keep going. Every product, scent, and future offering is a reflection of that journey.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
There have been many beautiful moments, but also many sacrifices behind the scenes.

One of the biggest challenges has been building HEAL while self-funding everything. Like many aspiring entrepreneurs, I’ve had to balance paying bills, working a full-time job, and investing back into my business at the same time. There have been moments when I wanted to move faster, launch more products, or invest more into the brand, but I had to learn patience and work with the resources I had.

I often work 10-hour shifts, and even after a long day, my work on HEAL doesn’t stop. Throughout my shift, I’ll jot down ideas, marketing concepts, product improvements, or future plans as they come to me. When I get home, I spend my time researching, learning, creating content, testing products, and executing whatever I can. There have been plenty of late nights fueled by determination and a vision I refuse to give up on.

Another challenge has been learning consistency and trusting myself. Early on, I had ideas but wasn’t always confident enough to fully pursue them. Over time, I’ve learned that building a business isn’t about being perfect. It’s about continuing to show up, even when progress feels slow.

While the journey hasn’t been easy, every obstacle has taught me something valuable. It’s strengthened my work ethic, increased my confidence, and reminded me why I started in the first place. Every challenge has made me more determined to build HEAL into the supportive and impactful brand I envision for men, women, and children.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Currently, I work as a Trainer at Kohl’s Distribution Center, where I’ve been employed there for four years. My role involves training and developing new associates, helping them build confidence in their positions, and creating an environment where people can succeed. One thing I’ve always enjoyed is helping others grow, whether that’s in the workplace or through my business.

Outside of my full-time job, I’m the founder of HEAL, a body care and wellness brand focused on nourishing both the skin and the person behind it. I specialize in creating body crèmes with unique scent combinations and skin-loving ingredients that help people feel confident, cared for, and comfortable in their own skin. What began as a passion for skincare evolved into a larger mission of creating a support system and community for women, men and children through self-care, encouragement, and personal growth.

What I’m most proud of is my ability to keep going. Building a business while working full-time hasn’t been easy, but I’ve remained committed to my vision. Every product, marketing idea, and business decision has been self-funded, researched, and developed through persistence and dedication.

I believe what sets me apart is authenticity. I don’t just sell products, I build from personal experience. HEAL was inspired by my own journey of growth, healing, and self-discovery. Because of that, every product and every future project is rooted in a genuine desire to help people feel supported, confident, and valued. I want customers to feel like they’re becoming part of something bigger than skincare; they’re becoming part of a community that encourages them to care for themselves inside and out.

Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
(Who helped)

I wouldn’t be where I am today without the support of my family, especially my mom and my sisters.

My mom has been one of my biggest supporters from the very beginning. As a small business owner, self-funding can be challenging, and there have been times when she invested her own money into my business because she believed in my vision. Beyond financial support, she’s always encouraged me to keep going, even when things felt uncertain.

My sisters have also been incredible cheerleaders throughout this journey. Whether it’s giving honest feedback, sharing my content, trying products, or simply reminding me to keep pushing forward, they’ve been a constant source of encouragement.

I’d also like to credit the people who have supported HEAL by trying my products, sharing their opinions, and believing in what I’m building. Every person who has purchased a product, tested a scent, joined my email list, or offered words of encouragement has played a role in helping me grow.

Entrepreneurship can sometimes feel lonely, but I’ve been fortunate to have people around me who believe in me, even during moments when I was still figuring things out myself. Their support has helped turn HEAL from an idea into a reality.
