Today we’d like to introduce you to Victoria Hudson.
Hi Victoria, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Humanitarian Gang Inc. was founded from something very simple—just a group of friends in Middle Georgia who wanted to make sure families in need had a good Christmas.
Back in 2015, we came together and used our own money to provide Christmas gifts for a few families. It wasn’t a big production, but it was meaningful—and that moment really stuck with us. From there, giving back became something we did consistently, especially during the holidays. We made it a point to involve our families and children, so they could grow up understanding the importance of service and community.
As the years went on, we realized that if we truly wanted to make a larger impact, we needed more structure, organization, and access to resources. Up until that point, everything we were doing came directly out of our own pockets. So in 2022, we officially established Humanitarian Gang Inc. as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
During that journey, we also created our own apparel line—not just as merchandise, but as a way to spread awareness around giving back. The apparel became our storefront, allowing supporters to represent the mission while directly contributing to it. Every purchase helps fund our community initiatives and allows us to continue expanding our reach.
A core part of our mission is youth leadership. Our events are intentionally designed to be led and supported by young people. From working the events and assisting families, to creating their own opportunities, kids are at the forefront of everything we do. We invite youth entrepreneurs to set up and operate their own stations at our events, giving them a chance to earn money while gaining real-world experience.
This hands-on approach helps build financial literacy, entrepreneurship, customer service, and confidence. At the same time, by serving families in their own community, they are learning compassion, patience, and the value of giving back. We’re not just hosting events—we’re developing the next generation of leaders.
Since becoming established, our growth has been incredible. What started as helping a few families has evolved into large-scale community events. One of our signature initiatives is our annual Back-to-School Community Drive-Thru. Through partnerships with local organizations and corporate sponsors, we were able to serve over 400 children last year by providing book bags, school supplies, uniforms, hot meals, and essential household items.
We also host an annual Thanksgiving Community Drive-Thru, where we partner with local Black-owned farms to provide fresh produce to families in need. This event takes place the Saturday before Thanksgiving and includes collaboration with the local housing authority to ensure we reach families who need it most.
This year, we expanded our impact even further by launching our Career & Resource Day during Spring Break. This initiative connects youth with entrepreneurs and professionals to expose them to different career paths and possibilities. While the students engage with speakers, parents are able to connect with vital community resources—ranging from mental health support and food assistance to summer programs and safe spaces for youth.
At our core, Humanitarian Gang Inc. is about impact, passion, and community. What started as a small act of giving has grown into a movement focused on creating opportunities, building connections, and making sure families in our community feel supported year-round.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. In the early years, one of our biggest challenges was funding. Before we became an official nonprofit, everything we did came directly out of our own pockets. While the passion was there, it wasn’t always sustainable, especially as the need in the community continued to grow.
Another major challenge was structure. In the beginning, we were simply a group of people with a shared heart for giving back—but without formal systems, processes, or access to larger partnerships, it was difficult to scale our impact. Transitioning into a 501(c)(3) organization in 2022 came with a learning curve, from understanding compliance and operations to building credibility with sponsors and partners.
Manpower and people have also been a real challenge. Finding the right volunteers, the right community partners, and most importantly the right people behind the scenes isn’t always easy. As we’ve grown, we’ve learned that alignment, reliability, and shared vision matter just as much as passion.
On a personal level, each obstacle has pushed us to grow as individuals as well. We’ve had to learn how to manage expectations, protect our mental health, and stay grounded while building something meaningful. A big part of that growth has come from remaining students—taking advantage of free resources in our community, whether through local libraries, community organizations, seminars, or financial literacy programs. We’ve been intentional about learning as we go and applying those lessons back into our organization.
Awareness has also been an ongoing challenge. There are many families in need and many organizations doing great work, so consistently telling our story and engaging supporters has been key. That’s part of what led us to create our apparel line—to both spread awareness and build a more sustainable funding stream.
Despite these challenges, each obstacle has helped shape how we operate today. We’ve become more intentional, more structured, and more focused on long-term sustainability. Every lesson has strengthened our foundation and positioned us to continue growing our impact in the community.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Professionally, I serve in a leadership role supporting store operations, sales teams, and leadership development across multiple locations in the Atlanta Metro area. My focus is on driving performance, building strong teams, and creating systems that allow both employees and customers to succeed. I’m especially passionate about training and development—helping people grow into leadership roles and maximize their potential.
Outside of my professional career, I am an Executive Coach and the Executive Director of Humanitarian Gang Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Middle Georgia. Through this work, I specialize in community engagement, youth development, and creating programs that directly impact families. What started as a grassroots effort has evolved into large-scale community initiatives, including our Back-to-School and Thanksgiving Drive-Thru events, as well as our Career & Resource Day.
The nonprofit is more than just an organization—it’s a sense of pride and legacy for everyone involved. It represents the impact we’re making today while building something meaningful that can be carried forward for generations.
What I’m most proud of is the way we’ve been able to merge impact with opportunity—especially for youth. We don’t just serve the community; we actively involve young people in the process. From working events to launching their own small businesses on-site, our youth are gaining real-world experience in entrepreneurship, customer service, and financial literacy while also learning the importance of giving back.
What sets me apart is my ability to bridge structure with community impact. I take the systems, leadership principles, and strategic thinking from my professional career and apply them to building sustainable, community-driven programs. At the same time, my work in coaching and nonprofit leadership keeps me grounded, purpose-driven, and connected to the real needs of the people we serve.
Everything I do—whether in business, coaching, or in the community—is centered around creating opportunities, building relationships, and leaving a lasting impact.
Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
Something surprising that most people may not know is how personal this work is for me.
Growing up with teenage parents, I experienced many of the same challenges families in our community face today—limited resources and periods of instability. Those experiences shaped my perspective and are a big part of why I’m so passionate about this work.
Because of that, Humanitarian Gang Inc. isn’t just about giving back—it’s about creating access, opportunity, and stability for others. It’s also why we intentionally involve youth in leadership roles, giving them exposure and real opportunities early on.
What people see today as a growing organization is rooted in lived experience, purpose, and a commitment to making sure others don’t have to navigate those same challenges alone.
