2 Degrees is a rising hip hop star out of Phenix City, Alabama (currently residing in Atlanta). The journey for this modern day artist has not been typical. In fact, it started as a student-athlete at Purdue University back in 2015. In 2017, he earned a Master’s in Sports Management from Jacksonville State University. Hence, the name 2 Degrees. Nowadays, he takes the same competitive drive that once made him a successful student-athlete and translates it into music. He has won over the hearts of supporters with his passion and commitment to excellence inspiring others to become the coldest version of themselves. Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The main struggle lies in remaining original while re-inventing yourself to attract the public eye. Imagine the effort of attempting to prove to others (for years) what you already know deep down is true. It takes tremendous patience, developing a strong mental mindset, a steady confidence in order to become the artist, successful entrepreneur you are destined to be.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m a Hip hop music artist. My background & mindset as a businessman separates me from the typical artist. Possessing versatility & the ability to create vibes on different tracks (hip hop, R & B). Fans are able to easily pick out the deep southern tone / accent. The delivery & beat selection has earned comparisons to the likes of Kevin Gates, Gucci Mane, & Gorilla Zoe. My most popular song “On Go” has over 50K views on my YouTube channel. Singles “II Cool” “Straight Facts” & “Time” have earned recognition as well. I highly encourage people to check out my entire catalog. There is not anyone song that defines me.

Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
You must possess a sense of fearlessness as an entrepreneur. With that comes taking risks. I’ve learned to associate risks with “the cost of being the boss” as it relates to running a business.
