Today we’d like to introduce you to Aisha Robinson.
Hi Aisha, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Aisha D. Robinson is a country girl that was born in a small country town with big dreams and bigger personality, to two young people in love. Unfortunately for her a dark reality would set in as some of her dreams turned into nightmares starting at an early age in her life. While living this life, she has made mistakes, taken accountability (and continues to do so), learned to forgive, learned to love, and learned that life is full of good and bad, you have choices, you make decisions, and you deal with the consequences, and keep learning and growing. Through it all she never gave up, (she never plans to) and leaned on the love and power of God, loving her kids, and family to push through. This book will detail some of those events in her life and how she managed. Now grab you something to sip and let’s take this trip down memory lane. It’s simple i wanted to write a book and tell my story. So I decided to get disciplined, get focused, and buckle down. It was not an easy task but it was worth the work I put in.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It has been a roller coaster ride! You have your good and bad moments but most of my good out weighed the bad. Having a job to not having a job, then Covid hit. I had a relative to reach out to me about yoni steams and the benefits of them. Well she didn’t have to tell me but one time and my creative mind started to flow.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Well as of right now I still have my business but I also work full time at Department of Treasury in Accounts Management. I am most proud of how far I have come and glad I don’t look like what I have been through! I am also most proud of my children, grandchildren, mom and husband who keeps me going and keeps me encouraged knowing I can do all things through Jesus Christ who strengthens me! I think my personality, loyalty, my humbleness and willingness to help others sets me apart from the rest.
Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
Definitely I had a few mentors along the way my childhood friend Lee Franklin helped me to speak out about what I had been through and encouraged me to write the book. Also Dr. Marita Kinney of Conyers Ga. also helped me to start the process of writing the book and what steps to take. I attended her seminar and paid to help get my book The Courage to Whisper My Time to Speak published by her company Pure Thoughts Publishing LLC! Definitely networking and word of mouth was a good starting point for me.
