Today we’d like to introduce you to Alex Ashley.
Hi Alex, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Thank you Voyage ATL for this amazing opportunity! My journey into the real estate business starting at 24 years old was partly planned and partly driven by the pandemic. I always knew that I would be involved in real estate at some point, but it wasn’t what I had in mind while attending the University of Mississippi. I graduated with a degree in marketing and had my heart set on diving into the corporate world. My plans were quickly derailed when COVID-19 affected the world. Businesses scaled back due to the new variables created by the pandemic which proved to be insurmountable. Thus, with my marketing degree, passion for architecture and design, love of real estate and helping people, I decided I would start my real estate journey much sooner than anticipated. I really feel that the door to my plans was directed by God to not be in a big corporation but to be in MY own business as a real estate agent using my marketing and people skills. I am so thankful for how things ended up because I really couldn’t imagine doing anything else.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I wouldn’t say it has been an entirely smooth road but anything that’s worth it generally requires some struggle. At the beginning of the pandemic, there were so many unusual happenings that hindered my path. The world was in a much different place than ever before. Just getting initial paperwork for my real estate license was problematic; however, with challenge comes reward. I have been in the business for a little over a year now and have sold over $5.5 million dollars in real estate and have also obtained my license in the state of Florida.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Having grown up in Atlanta, I have a wealth of knowledge about the entire area. I have sold homes in different counties and at extreme price differences. My proudest accomplishment has been selling the highest resale property in the prestigious TPC Sugarloaf Country Club!!
The thing that sets me apart from others is my real estate knowledge of greater Atlanta and surrounding suburbs, combined with my goal to make sure that my client’s needs and desires are met. I have a tremendous amount of drive and passion for the business and helping others find the property of their dreams. I believe my clients see that my commitment to them when buying/selling a home is paramount.
Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
“The ones who are crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones that do.”
Always BE YOU and never lose faith.
