Daily Inspiration: Meet Bella Liguori

Today we’d like to introduce you to Bella Liguori.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Dance has always been a huge part in my life. I started dancing when I was 3 years old and haven’t stopped the past 20 years. I grew up in a small town in Pennsylvania and often traveled for my dance training. When I was 19, I decided to move to Atlanta to pursue my professional career. Once I moved, I got signed to Xcel Talent Agency and began working in the industry. Over the past few years, I’ve had the pleasure of learning from and working with some of the most talented and well known choreographers in the industry. Working on movies, commercials, live performances, etc. I feel very blessed for everything I’ve experienced and I’m excited for what’s to come.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I love being a creative and wouldn’t change a thing, but “easy” is never a word I would use to describe this career. As a creative, there are a lot of challenges you face throughout your journey. Burn out, physically and mentally, imposter syndrome, and not attaching your self worth to a job are all challenges many dancers face. I’ve experienced these, and I have learned a lot about myself while overcoming them. I’ve learned that it’s so important to have other things in life that fill your cup. Balance in your life is KEY for longevity in this career. Always prioritize your mental health, and always continue to work on yourself. I’m thankful for my friends and family for always being supportive of me, having a good support system means the world.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a professional dancer who is versatile, adaptable, and dependable. I feel like those traits set me apart, and have brought me a lot of opportunity. Im trained in multiple styles, including hiphop, jazz funk, contemporary, heels, jazz, tap, musical theatre, etc. The confidence I have comes from knowing I’ve put in the work for YEARS leading up to now.

As far as what I am most proud of , I am really proud of my work ethic, resilience, and overall integrity. I have stayed true to who I am, and that will never shift. I will always lead with love, joy, and positivity. No matter what.

We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
I would say this industry is less about luck, and more about preparation meeting opportunity. Nothing I have accomplished has come from luck. People might call me a lucky girl, but I would say luck only happens after the work is put in.
