Daily Inspiration: Meet Beneth Akpudo

Today we’d like to introduce you to Beneth Akpudo.

Hi Beneth, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My journey in entertainment began in 2014 in New York City when I started DJing and building my name within the African and international nightlife scene. What started as a passion for music quickly evolved into a career that allowed me to connect people through unforgettable experiences and cultural events.

In 2020, I relocated to Atlanta, where I continued growing my brand and expanding my influence within the entertainment industry. Over the years, I have become known not only as a DJ but also as an entrepreneur, event curator, and recording artist.

Today, I am the owner of Aura Cafe, a unique lounge and social destination in Atlanta that blends culture, music, and community. I am also proud to serve as the official DJ for Afrobeats superstar CKay, a role that has allowed me to perform on major stages and connect with audiences around the world.

Beyond DJing, I have developed a passion for creating music of my own. My first-ever song was a collaboration with CKay, which inspired me to pursue music production and recording. Since then, I have released several records including “On A Low” with Sadadi, “Party Life” with Sadadi and Poko, “Fresh” with Lit Up, and “Gbe” with Papyfire.

I have also built a reputation for creating successful events that bring people together through music and culture. Some of my signature events include AfroKompa, I Hate My House Sundays, and House of Vibes, all of which have become popular experiences within the Atlanta nightlife scene.

Looking back, my journey has been driven by consistency, creativity, and a genuine love for music and people. From DJing in New York to owning a lounge, touring with major artists, creating my own music, and hosting impactful events, I continue to focus on building platforms that celebrate culture, entertainment, and community while inspiring the next generation of creatives.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Yes it has been an amazing journey balancing being a new dad and being an international dj
