Daily Inspiration: Meet Christia Clarkson

Today we’d like to introduce you to Christia Clarkson.

Hi Christia, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’ve always had the gift of gab, and I definitely got that from my mom. Growing up, I watched her command every room she walked into. She had a way of connecting with people that was effortless, and I admired that so much. I knew early on that I wanted to have that same presence and ability to build relationships.
I also knew I wanted a career in entertainment, but I wasn’t exactly sure where I fit. The industry is so vast, so while attending college, I took advantage of internships to explore different areas and figure out what truly excited me. I spent time working in radio, which was a great experience because music was my first love. I enjoyed the energy, the culture, and being close to the artists and content.

But everything changed the first time I stepped onto a television set. I immediately fell in love with the fast-paced environment, the constant movement, the creativity, and the collaboration required to bring a story to life. Every day felt different, and I had the opportunity to meet people from all walks of life.

My ability to connect with people became one of my greatest strengths. Networking, building relationships, and genuinely getting to know others opened doors throughout my career. Those connections, combined with hard work and a passion for storytelling, helped me grow from an eager intern into a Supervising Producer working on some of the biggest reality television franchises in the industry today.

At my core, I’ve always been fascinated by people and their stories, and that’s exactly what I get to do every day—help bring those stories to life on screen.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Not at all. In fact, I feel like I’m still hitting potholes from time to time! The entertainment industry is constantly evolving, and with that comes a lot of uncertainty. There are highs and lows, and sometimes projects get shelved or networks and studios slow down on greenlighting new shows. When that happens, finding your next opportunity can become a challenge.
Those moments taught me the importance of resilience and not waiting for opportunities to come to me. Instead, I focused on creating my own. I’ve been fortunate to surround myself with an incredible community of talented creatives who share the same passion for storytelling. When the industry slows down, we don’t stop creating we start building.
One of my favorite sayings is, “The studios may stop filming, but you can’t kill our creativity.” During some of those slower periods, I had the opportunity to executive produce two independent film projects, Echoes and Echoes 2: Curses of the Past. Those experiences reminded me that creativity isn’t dependent on a network, a budget, or a studio it comes from the people willing to tell stories no matter the circumstances.
The challenges have definitely been real, but they’ve also pushed me to become more resourceful, more entrepreneurial, and more committed to my craft. Every obstacle has helped shape the producer and storyteller I am today.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a television producer and storyteller who specializes in reality television, unscripted development, casting, and story production. Over the course of my career, I’ve had the opportunity to work on some of the biggest reality franchises in television, including Love Is Blind, America’s Next Top Model, and Married at First Sight. As the entertainment landscape continues to evolve, I’ve also expanded into the streaming space, producing content with major digital creators, including the new hit show Coulda Been Love.
What sets me apart is my resilience. The entertainment industry can be unpredictable, but no matter the challenges, there’s nowhere else I’d rather be. Being creative isn’t just what I do—it’s who I am. Whether I’m on set producing a scene, developing a new concept, or helping shape a story, I genuinely love the process of bringing ideas to life.
What I’m most proud of is my ability to evolve while staying true to my passion for storytelling. I’ve built a career by being adaptable, building strong relationships, and finding creative solutions under pressure. I believe my greatest strength is connecting with people and uncovering authentic stories that resonate with audiences. That’s what has carried me throughout my career, and it’s what continues to drive me today.

Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
The most important lesson I’ve learned is simple: never give up.
There will always be challenges, setbacks, and moments when things don’t go according to plan. The entertainment industry, especially, can test your patience and resilience. I’ve learned that success isn’t determined by how many times you get knocked down—it’s determined by how many times you’re willing to get back up.
One of the most impactful lessons came from a professor during my senior year of college. On our last day before graduation, she wanted to leave us with a few words of encouragement. She said, “Everything works itself out in the end. If it hasn’t worked out for you yet, it’s because it’s not the end.”
Those words have stayed with me throughout my career and my life. Whenever I’ve faced uncertainty, career obstacles, or difficult seasons, I’ve reminded myself of that message. Just because things feel dark in the moment doesn’t mean they won’t become bright again.
I’ve learned to trust the process, stay prepared, and keep moving forward. Every setback has taught me something valuable, and every challenge has helped shape the person and producer I am today. Resilience isn’t just a skill—it’s a mindset, and it’s been one of the greatest contributors to my success.
