Daily Inspiration: Meet Nicole Butler Vegas

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nicole Butler Vegas.

Nicole , we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Starting Show Biz in 2021, Nicole Butler Vegas received her first taft hartley on her very first set “The Cleaning Lady”. Currently SAG and working on her 4th feature film as a main producer working along side Director/Writers Shawn C Phillips and Ethan Phillips. They have completed “Desert Fiends”, “Skate to Hell” and “Desert Fiends “2 . She learned her craft in front of the camera and is an asset behind the scenes with AD work, PA, Crafty, location manager, funding/marketing, wardrobe, set props, transportation, grip assistant, casting… Days of the Dead gave her the first panel with “Desert Fiends”. Nicole Butler Vegas has worked in all areas of show biz and continues to grow her fanbase/audience with many films she is in getting distribution releases. She loves to expand her character range and enjoys improv when given the opportunity. Born and raised in Buffalo New York, Nicole enlisted in the US Air Force upon graduation of high school. Nicole was assigned to Air Force Security Forces which enabled her to become proficient in combat arms, self defense and law enforcement tactics. Her deployment to Saudi Arabia at Prince Sultan AFB awarded her numerous Air Force Medals and Achievements. Upon completion of the Air Force, Nicole chose Las Vegas Nevada as her permanent residence. Nicole has always had the drive to help others and make the community better, therefore she has held the position of Law Enforcement Officer in North Las Vegas and United States Postal Worker in Las Vegas Nevada. Nicole’s true passion is volunteering in the community and bringing people together. Her drive keeps her focused on networking and connecting others where needed within the community in the Las Vegas Area. Organizations to include, Project For Humanity, Henderson NV Veterans Mentorship Program, Spirit Therapies , Shade Tree, The Just One Project, Three Square Meals, Burn Foundation, Toys for Tots, Vietnamese American Lions Club, and food distributions to the homeless to name a few. In addition she served as Vice President of the PTA and put together the largest and most successful Fall Festival in the school’s history. Nicole has also helped pave the way to walking trails in the Northwest Las Vegas Area. Her selflessness in serving others and natural beauty has caught the eye of many producers and directors in the Las Vegas area. This has guided her to take a direction in acting where she can connect with more people which is her true passion of gathering others in her pursuit of giving back to the community.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
We all climb up the mountain differently! There has been so many areas that have been extremely difficult in the entertainment show biz world! No one has a background check in the film industry! You never know who you are truly working with until it is too late! There is a lot of smoke and mirrors and many who have hidden agendas! If you are on production side there is a lot of fire to put out and areas you must step up in with wearing many hats and learning to juggle it all without much sleep! There is no cutting corners and it is a consent grind where you can be extremely burnt out if you don’t learn how to say no and delegate with trusting others to assist you on a job on set! Many are afraid to speak up or don’t share their experiences that are important with knowing who is good to work with and who is not!

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a main producer of 4 feature films in the 5yrs of show biz I been in! I went sag a year ago! I am a military veteran and former NLVPD! I also do community connection with volunteering when needed for nonprofits. I been raising a family for the last 28yrs! I am most proud of working with others to bring community together!
