Today we’d like to introduce you to Ronnie S. Rose.
Hi Ronnie S. , thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My story begins in the housing projects of New York City, where life taught me resilience before I even had language for it. I grew up surrounded by love in some ways, but also by survival, instability, and adversity. As a young girl, I often felt disconnected—disconnected from myself, from God, from a deeper sense of purpose. I didn’t fully understand it at the time, but I was searching… searching for something real, something grounding, something that felt like home.
I became a mother at a young age, and while that experience gave my life meaning, it also came with its own set of challenges. I was still trying to figure out who I was while being responsible for raising another life. Somewhere along the way, I lost myself even more. I went through seasons of pain, including struggling with alcohol and coping in ways that numbed rather than healed. I wasn’t living—I was surviving.
The turning point in my life came after a devastating breakup. What felt like an ending was actually an initiation. That moment cracked me open in a way I couldn’t ignore. It forced me to sit with myself, to feel everything I had been avoiding, and to begin the real work—healing.
That’s when I found yoga. I found meditation. I found stillness. I found nature. And through those practices, I found my way back to myself.
Healing wasn’t overnight. It was layered. It was uncomfortable. It required honesty, accountability, and grace. But through that process, I experienced something powerful—I returned home to myself. I reconnected with God, not in a distant way, but in an intimate, internal way. I realized that everything I had been searching for externally had always been within me.
That realization changed everything.
Today, I am the founder of Self Healers Wellness, where I create spaces for others to experience that same return. Through spoken word, meditation, sound healing, movement, and storytelling, I help people reconnect with their truth, their voice, and their light.
My work is deeply personal. It’s not something I learned from a textbook—it’s something I lived. Every offering, every word I speak, every space I hold is rooted in my own journey of transformation.
I now understand that my life wasn’t meant to be hidden—it was meant to be shared. My story is my message. My healing became my purpose. And my purpose is to remind others that no matter how far you feel from yourself, you can always return home.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No, it has not been a smooth road—and I say that with honesty and gratitude.
My journey has been filled with real-life challenges that continue to shape me. Healing didn’t erase my wounds; it made me more aware of them. There are still moments where I have to consciously remind myself of my worth, remind myself who I am, and return back to that truth. That’s a daily practice for me.
One of my biggest struggles has been staying rooted in my authentic self in a world that constantly invites comparison. With social media, with life, with expectations—it’s easy to look outside of yourself and question your path. I’ve had to learn how to quiet that noise and trust my own journey, even when it doesn’t look like anyone else’s.
Motherhood has also been a deeply transformative and sometimes challenging part of my journey. Guiding and leading my daughters while still healing parts of myself requires grace, patience, and accountability. There are moments where I reflect on my own upbringing and realize I’m breaking cycles in real time—and that’s not always easy, but it’s necessary.
I’ve been tested in many ways—emotionally, mentally, spiritually. There have been seasons where I felt low, disconnected, and unsure. Times where I had to choose between falling back into old patterns or rising into the woman I know I’m becoming. And that choice doesn’t just happen once—it happens over and over again.
Building my business, Self Healers Wellness, has also come with its own set of challenges. Stepping out as a leader, creating something from my truth, and asking to be seen and valued for my work pushed me out of my comfort zone. I had to unlearn the idea of shrinking myself and step into ownership of my gifts and my voice.
But through it all, I’ve learned that the struggles are not setbacks—they are part of the initiation. They are the moments that deepen my self-awareness, strengthen my faith, and remind me to return home to myself.
I’m still evolving. I’m still learning. I’m still healing.
And that, to me, is the beauty of the journey.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a Spoken Word Artist and Conscious Content Creator whose work lives at the intersection of healing, storytelling, and self-discovery.
Through my voice, I create experiences that invite people to return home to themselves.
My artistry is rooted in truth. I don’t just write to perform—I write to feel, to process, to heal, and to awaken something within others. My spoken word pieces are inspired by my lived experiences—love, loss, identity, motherhood, healing, and transformation. Every word I speak carries intention. It’s not just poetry—it’s a transmission.
As a conscious content creator, I extend that same intention into the digital space. Whether it’s through short-form videos, affirmations, storytelling, or reflective messages, my goal is to create content that makes people pause, feel seen, and reconnect with their inner light. I create for the woman who is evolving, who is healing, who is remembering who she is.
I specialize in blending art with wellness. My work isn’t limited to the stage—I also integrate spoken word into immersive experiences that include meditation, breathwork, sound healing, and movement. This allows people to not just hear the message, but to feel it in their bodies.
What I’m most proud of is turning my pain into purpose. I’ve taken my life experiences and created something meaningful—not just for myself, but for others. My books, The Return of Her Light and Goddess Code Legacy, are extensions of my voice and my message. They serve as guides for those on their own journey back to self.
What sets me apart is my authenticity. I am not creating from theory—I am creating from lived truth. I don’t separate who I am from what I do. My life is my art, and my art is my offering.
I’m not here just to be heard—I’m here to help people remember.
We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
I don’t define my journey by luck—I define it by alignment.
For me, alignment is what connects me to the right opportunities, the right people, and the right moments. When I am grounded in who I am, clear on my mission, and intentional about how I show up, things begin to meet me where I am. Not by chance, but because I’ve done the inner work to recognize and receive them.
There have been moments in my life that others might call “lucky”—opportunities to perform, to host wellness experiences, to collaborate, to be seen. But I see those moments as a reflection of alignment. They came as a result of me choosing myself, doing the healing work, and staying committed to my vision even when it wasn’t easy or immediately rewarded.
Alignment hasn’t always been comfortable. It has required me to let go of what no longer serves me, to walk away from situations that didn’t honor my worth, and to trust myself in seasons of uncertainty. There were times when things didn’t work out the way I expected, and what some might call “bad luck,” I now recognize as redirection—guidance pulling me back into alignment with my true path.
In my business and in my life, I’ve learned that when I move with intention, authenticity, and purpose, I naturally attract what is meant for me. Alignment sharpens my awareness. It helps me discern what is for me and what isn’t.
So I don’t wait for luck—I create alignment. And through that alignment, I experience opportunities that feel intentional, meaningful, and connected to the work I know I’m here to do.
